Come spend the holiest days of the Christian year insilence and in prayer. Celebrate with the monastic com-munity the Mass of the Lord’s Supper on Holy Thurs-day, the Celebration of the Lord’s Passion on GoodFriday and the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday. The Lit-urgy of the Hours will also be sung daily.

Sign-in and registration is on Thursday afternoon from3:00 to 4:00 pm. The retreat begins with dinner on Thurs-day at 5:00 pm and ends with Morning Prayer at 9:00 amon Easter Sunday.

Fr. Robert E. Kennedy,SJ teaches Theologyand Japanese at St.Peter’s College, JerseyCity. He is a practicingpsychotherapist andthe author of Zen Giftsto Christians and ZenSpirit, Christian Spirit.He is active in interfaithwork, teaching zen topersons of all faiths.

He studied Zen in Ja-pan with the Japanesemaster Yamada Roshi.Later he continued his

study under Maezumi Roshi in Los Angeles and Ber-nard Tetsugen Glassman Roshi in New York; in 1991was made Sensei (teacher) and in 1997 was given thetitle Roshi or Master. He holds doctorates in Theologyfrom the University of Ottawa and from St. Paul Univer-sity in Ottawa, a Masters in Theology from Sophia Uni-versity in Tokyo, a Doctor of Ministry in Psychologyand Clinical Studies from Andover-Newton in Boston.

This is a silent meditation retreat with formal instructionand teaching. The retreat begins with dinner at 5:30 pmon Thursday and ends at 11:30 am on Sunday. Regis-tration begins at 4:00 pm on Thursday.
