“A Light of God’s Love”
A small Church, In a small Town, Serving a Big GOD.
God’s Revelation to North Anderson Baptist is…”To honor and glorify God through
worship, prayer, teaching, community service and mission opportunities.”
call these “Life Groups.” A group may
have just a few people or they may
have many depending upon the group
and the leadership. Are these new
“Life Groups” like our Small Groups
now? No, we hope they will be more
intimate and intentional in doing life
together and would last longer than 6 to
12 weeks. We hope these Life Groups
will begin to help one another grow
into mature disciples in Christ Jesus.
Please read Ephesians 4:12-16.
Blessings
Bill

From Your Pastor… It looks like we will go into February
with a chill! It has been so cold lately it
must be because of Global Warming???
During the months to come, I have been
led to preach on the “Home.” You have
already heard, if you have been in the
worship services, that I want to empha-
size our families becoming closer to the
Lord Jesus Christ by discipling our chil-
dren in the Lord. That is more than
bringing them to church and going on
special retreats; it is where we, the par-
ents, are the primary disciplers of our
own children in our own home. God
gave them to us and we are responsible
to God for teaching them about who He
is and what He desires in their lives that
will help them to walk humbly with
God. Make no mistake, we the church,
will assist you the parents in doing our
part here by being faithful to teach the
truth from the Word of God to all of the
children who attend.
The Word is faithful to guide us in not
only growing as a family in Christ but to
help each of us to be better disciples of
Christ ourselves. Some of us need
someone to disciple us and help us to
grow in Christ, others of us need to dis-
ciple those who are seeking to grow in
their relationship with Jesus. We will

CHURCH
FRIDAY’S
To Elza Reeves on her 4th Anniversary
here at NABC as our pianist.
From our Administrator & Educator Dennis Walker Some of you may know that growing up I was not the athletic type. I will tell
you now that I was the nerd in the family. I loved to read and I liked school, the only
sport that I was involved in was bowling. Actually, my younger brother was the athlete
in the family. He played football, basketball, and baseball. And we went to every game,
not that I enjoyed it. As I look back my parents did make my brother and I bowl on the
same team. I was a pretty good bowler and my brother never could out bowl me. One of
the reasons I contribute to this was the fact that I would listen to instructions and I was
always improving. This March the church will be offering a 2 hours teacher training. If
you teach a Sunday School class, Discipleship class, OR you think you might want to
teach please make plans to attend March 9th Teacher Training. The class will begin at
9:30 with open registration starting at 9:00 am. Coffee and donuts will be out for your
enjoyment. We will be finished by 11:30.
I know that this is February but I need to talk about SUMMER CAMP. Like years in the
past we are offering all children the opportunity to attend GA camp, or RA camp. RA
camp is for boys who have completed the 1st grade through the 12th grade (this is their
Alpha Camp). This camp will be for boys and fathers. Fathers this is a great opportunity
for you to enjoy the camp sitting without the responsibility of arranging all the activities.
However, if you cannot go to camp please send your sons. This is a great opportunity for
your sons to learn more about missions, grow closer to God, and have a great time. The
dates are Aug. 8-10th. I will be collecting a $50 deposit by the end of the month. Total
cost for RA camp is $135 per person. GA camp is for girls 1st through 6th grade. GA
camp is an exciting place where campers meet new friends, explore other cultures, inter-
act with and learn from missionaries, and learn more about God. Please see me for dates
or look on the bulletin board outside of the children’s classroom for all of the dates and
times and cost of GA camp.
