The DNV E-406 standard is based on statistical approach for calculating load and effects based on field of operation. - Field specific – consider environmental conditions - Metocean data (Wind, Current, Waves ) - Documentation of design, calculations and testing - Statement of Compliance (in stead of certificate)

Conventional Lifeboat Systems according to R002
As part of the DNV-E406 standard we have the R002 regulation that is part of the Norsok requirements.
Norsafe has recently developed conventional lifeboats and rescue boats according to the new requirements stated in the R002, 2012 edtion.
R002 requires:
- Double Barrier Winch - Dampening Cylinder on each wire fall - Operation Platform around the winch - As low maintenance as possible - Hoisting and lowering speed to be minimum 0.2 m/s
