Koorosh Shishegaran was born in Qazvin in 1944 and studied
painting atTehran University. A prolific artist, he works in a wide
array of media suchas painting, photography and graphic design. He
has participated widelyin solo and group exhibitions around the
world and is best known for hisscribble line abstract painting, a
style and language expressive of themodern era.
Mostafa Dashti

Mostafa Dashti was born in 1960 in Khash, Baluchestan province
andhas devoted his life to the communicative power of art. His
early worksinspired by his birthplace depicted powerful desert
scenes. Thisrelationship with landscapes, whether natural or
manmade, hascontinued over the years and is still apparent in most
of his works today.In recent years he has used a more abstract mode
of communicationand a preference for darker colours. He has held
several solo exhibitionsin Iran and taken part in exhibitions
abroad.
Aneh Mohammad Tatari

Aneh Mohammad Tatari was born in 1957 in Iran. Inspired by the
desertlandscapes of his homeland, Turkmen Sahra, Tatari often
applies thewarm shades of orange and red to illustrate semiabstract
figures, whoare often participants in traditional Persian
ceremonies. Tatari teachesfine arts at the Tehran University and
since 2002 has exhibited widely allover the world.
Firouz Farman-Farmaian

Firouz Farman-Farmaian was born in Tehran, moving to Paris in
theaftermath of the Islamic Revolution. He studied Architecture and
VisualArts, which was the beginning of his career as a
multi-disciplinarianartist. He employs a range of media in his
works which includes paint,print, sculpture, film and even music,
and are often presented asinstallations or performances. They are
intended as momentarymeditations on the energy and the motivation
of the visible world.

Yasmin Afshar was born in Tehran in 1985 and studied with
well-knownpainters such as Farideh Lashaie. Like so many young
artists in Iran shehas gained a depth and artistic situation from
her experience of growingup in a highly turbulent environment which
is contrasted by a culturerich in its appreciation of poetry and
beauty. Her highly expressivepaintings are inspired by nature,
especially the sea. Since 2009 she hasexhibited three times in
Tehran.
