• Develop & Practice a Short “Sales” Pitch.
• Visit Career Center Website to Obtain List of Participating Employers

• Use the Internet to Research Organizations of Interest to Determine: – Mission – Types of Positions Available – Skills & Experience Desired of Employees.
• Attend Our Resume Writing Workshop.

• Prepare a Resume Appropriate for Full Range of Positions You are Seeking.
• Visit the Career Center for a Critique.
Your Job Fair Resume Should: • Be Broad Enough to Cover All the
Industries in Which You are Seeking Work
• Look Professional • Be Easily Read • Document Skills & Experience • Stress Accomplishments
• “Easily Read” = “Easily Scanned” • Consider using bullet format
– Phrases not Sentences – One line per thought – One thought per line
• Judicious use of bold • One page • Thou Shalt Not Use Less Than 11 Point Font !
• Generate a List of Accomplishments (See page 3 of Our Resume Writing Guide)
Think Problems, Solutions, Results.
• Quantify with $ # % Grades Etc.
• Be Prepared to Deliver a Brief Commercial about Yourself: – Overview of Your Talents,
Skills & Experience – Brief Description of Your
