Funeral Service held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Fitzherbert Street, Featherston on Tuesday 20 August 2013 at 1.00 pm followed by burial at the Greytown Lawn Cemetery Conducting: President Bennett Pianist: Dee Norling Chorister: Dorothy Addley Opening Hymn: I Stand All Amazed I stand all amazed at the love Jesus offers me, Confused at the grace that so fully he proffers me. I tremble to know that for me he was crucified, That for me, a sinner, he suffered, he bled and died. Oh, it is wonderful that he should care for me Enough to die for me! Oh, it is wonderful, wonderful to me! I marvel that he would descend from his throne divine To rescue a soul so rebellious and proud as mine, That he should extend his great love unto such as I, Sufficient to own, to redeem, and to justify. I think of his hands pierced and bleeding to pay the debt! Such mercy, such love and devotion can I forget? No, no, I will praise and adore at the mercy seat, Until at the glorified throne I kneel at his feet. Opening Prayer: Barbara Norling Talk: Ralph Norling Talk: Estelle Norling Musical Item: As Sisters In Zion Talk: Brent Norling Talk: Maurice Norling Closing Remarks: Huri Parata Closing Hymn: Rock of Ages Rock of Ages, cleft for me, Let me hide myself in Thee; Let the water and the blood, From Thy riven side which flowed, Be of sin the double cure, Cleanse me from its guilt and power. Not the labour of my hands Can fulfil thy law's demands; Could my zeal no respite know, Could my tears for ever flow, All for sin could not atone: Thou must save, and Thou alone. Nothing in my hand I bring, Simply to thy cross I cling; Naked, come to Thee for dress; Helpless, look to Thee for grace; Foul, I to the fountain fly; Wash me, Saviour, or I die. While I draw this fleeting breath, When my eyelids close in death, When I soar through tracts unknown, See Thee on Thy judgement throne, Rock of Ages, cleft for me, Let me hide myself in Thee. Closing Prayer: Ken Norling
