Students who qualify for any tuition reduction program are not eligible for nonresident scholarships.

UW-Whitewater Nonresident ScholarshipsAlmost 20% of UW-Whitewater students come from outside of Wisconsin. This information will help you

understand the scholarship and tuition reduction opportunities available to you.

Nonresident scholarshipsOur nonresident scholarships offer an annual reduction of tuition based on merit. Students who meet the academic

criteria outlined in the grid above will automatically qualify at the time of admission. These scholarships are renewable and valid for a maximum of eight semesters (fall and spring only). To renew this scholarship, you must

maintain a 3.0 GPA as a UW-Whitewater student.

Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP) The MSEP is a discounted tuition rate available for students who meet the academic criteria. The MSEP rate is

equivalent to 150% of the tuition a Wisconsin resident would pay, a value of $5,423 for the 2018-2019 academic year. Students who qualify for MSEP are still eligible for additional scholarship opportunities, but cannot also

qualify for Minnesota Reciprocity or the Return to Wisconsin program.

Return to Wisconsin This legacy program offers a discount to non-resident students who have a parent, grandparent, or legal guardian

who received a degree from UW-Whitewater

academic credentials based on standardized exams and GPA receive merit aid.We encourage all students to file the FAFSA in order to be considered for need-based
