INTRODUCTION:
This document will describe the NodeB integration process flow
which will be used when integrating a new node B, as well as
demonstrating the CCR process from the delivery of data fill to the
production and loading of XML and MO script.
1 UMTS Architecture
1.1 Design Team:
The integration team should be provided and updated with the LLD
(Low Level Design) for the 3G Node B integration from the design
team
LLD.xls
1.2 Radio Planning Team:
Has to generate the two CCR forms (excel sheet) one for Hardware
Scripts and other for Cell Network.
-
The names of two CCR sheets are:- AddCellNetworkP7.xls
AddCellNetworkP7_V
5_0.xls
Onsite P7.xls ( for hardware script)
1.3 Onsite Commissioning Team
Responsible for the installation and commissioning the NodeB,
Loading OAM and External Hardware scripts
1.4 Node B Integration Team:
After loading OAM and Hardware script. The integration team can
start the integration
To generate the XML files required for the WDCMA RAN
integration, a CCR web based tool is used.
1.4.1 OAM & Hardware Scripts:
Both scripts are generated by referring to the LLD .Those two
scripts will be emailed to the onsite commissioning team to load it
on to NodeB.
1.4.2 ARW Script:
Integration team will generate and load the ARW script on to the
OSS Common Explorer by using the ARW (Add RBS Wizard) tool.
1.4.3 Add Cell Network Scripts:
From the AddCellNetworkP7.xls CCR form, Cell scripts are
generated and loaded on to the OSS Common Explorer by creating
Planned Area and importing the.xml files to the planned areas.
-
2. Add RBS Wizard
Open OSS Go to WCDMA RAN Explorer Use your favourite FTP client
to transfer files to OSS Upload the ARW script to :
/var/opt/ericsson/nms_umts_arw_reg/dat/xml/import Open new planned
configuration Enter the name of the planned configuration then
click ok
Go to: tools ARW
-
Select ARW file for import file then click NEXT
-
Change the RNC SUBRACK related to your site, then click next
until you reach the
end of the wizard
-
Verify that the RBS status was successfully complete
-
Go to your created planned configuration: right click
activate
-
.12 CCR TOOL
CCR Tool is the official internal tool that is used in producing
.xml scripts.
-
2.2 CCR Tool - Workflow
Create CCR-Form Template
Populate CCR form
Create project/import CCR form
Execute/generate scripts
2.3 CCR Tool - Create CCR-Form Template
Click on Create CCR-form Template:
Make appropriate selections and click Create:
-
CCR Tool - Create project/import CCR form
CCR form is an excel spreadsheet and it will be emailed to you
if you choose that option when creating a template.
After CCR template is populated, you can create a project in the
tool and import your spreadsheet.
Select Create Project:
Make appropriate selections and click Create:
-
Your project will now appear under Projects Tab. To generate
scripts, click on the Icon in the Configuration column:
- Uncheck Test Load and click Generate.
- XML scripts will get generated.
- Scripts will be emailed to you or you can extract them from
Configuration column.
- Once the scripts are generated the icon will be changed
from
to
-
2.4Loading Add_Cell Network Scripts:
Upload the cells scripts to :
/var/opt/ericsson/nms_umts_wran_bcg/files/import
Three planned areas are created as below:1. Create Planned
Configuration for Cell :_Cell
-
Right click import
Import the
following Scripts
in following order
areas.xml
add_cel
l.xml add_hsdsch.xml add_eul.xml coveragerelation.xml cell
update
-
After loading all the scripts, activate the Planned
Configuration
-
Go to moshell and check if the cells and the channels are
created
-
2. Create Planned Configuration for GSM Relation :_GSM
Import the following Scripts in following order:
add_gsmcell.xml gsmcell_relations.xml
Activate Planned Configuration.
-
Go to moshell and check if the GSM relations are created
-
3. Create Planned Configuration for Utran Relation:
_UtranRelation
Import the following Scripts in following order:
cell_relations.xml add_extcell.xml extcell_relations.xml
Activate Planned Configuration.
-
Go to moshell and check if the utranrelations are created
-
3. IUB Script:
Upload the iub script to :
/var/opt/ericsson/integration/xml_scripts/iub_scripts
Open element manager
-
Tools run command file
Choose your IUB script
-
Check halt on errors, verbose logging
Then start
-
4. Loading License Upload the license to :
/var/opt/ericsson/integration/xml_scripts/lkf
In rbs element manager go to licensingMO
propertiesAction(2)Update licensekeyfile
User ID: xxxxxx
-
Password: xxxxxxxxIp Address: IP address of the master
serversFile:
/var/opt/ericsson/integration/xml_scripts/lkf/licensename.xml
(license directory in the node)
Then execute
-
5. Adjust License
Go to configuration Manage HW and SW inventory software
management organizer
-
Choose your RBS name, right click adjust
-
6. Update Parameters
Open element manager tools run command file
Choose your parameters script
Parameter_Setting_2_Carriers.mo
-
Also check the RBS parameter IubDataStreams, maxHsRate must be
modified depending on the number of E1s
Change the following parameter using Moshell
numHsCodeResources
numEulResources
maxTotalOutputPower
7. Create back CV and set as startable on NodeB:
Go to Moshell :
CVMS CVLS
After creating the CV we unlock the IUB and the site name
-
8. Software Upgrade using SMO
Locate the desired node and start the wizard using the upgrade
function in SMO
-
Choose the upgrade package then click next
-
Choose the appropriate ftp server area
-
Check the upgrade steps to be executed
-
Then click finish
-
9. Conclusion
Once the upgrade is completed we list the iub status for the
node ( lst . site name), we print the traffic status (get radiol),
we check the license status (license lkf), we print the list of the
active alarm (alt)
