Teach – This week we will be learning about Phase 4 final blends. We already know lots of information to help us to work through this quickly so grab a whiteboard and pen and watch the short video on Tapestry now. Today we are learning about - nk/mp/nd/sk/nt Practise/Apply With your adult’s help, write a list of words using the blends we have looked at today. Revisit – Read through your Tricky Words list and through the list of words that you wrote yesterday. Teach – Watch today’s video on Tapestry. ‘lb’, ‘ld’, ‘lf’, ‘lk’, ‘lm’, ‘lp’, ‘lt’ Practise/Apply – Read these 4 sentences first. Then write each one carefully. Highlight the final blends you can spot. 1. The belt is old. 2. She got herself a cup of milk. 3. The bulb can pop! 4. I need help to see the film. Revisit – Practise your Phase 2 and 3 sounds. Teach – Watch the short video on Tapestry now. ‘st’, ct’, ‘ft’, ‘pt’, ‘xt’. Practise/Apply – Using the phoneme frames below say what you see out loud for each picture first. Next use your segmenting skills to spell the word carefully into the boxes. Create your own frame too for a word ending in ‘xt’. Revisit – Listen to a new Tricky Word Song!
