Park Services $9.00/hour Job Descriptions
Lifeguards are responsible for the safety of all guests in the park as well as general customer service.
Basic Job Duties Include: ● Ensure proper ride dispatch at the top of water slides, including enforcing proper height and
weight restrictions ● Constantly scanning water for guest safety ● Responding to basic first-aid calls ● General customer service ● Enforcing water park rules ● General cleaning of park and water slide areas ● Returning slide tubes and other props to their proper place ● Continuous training throughout the summer ● Other duties as assigned
Additional Requirements:
● Ability to work long hours on your feet in the sun ● Ability to work in various weather conditions ● Ability to work around chlorinated water ● Ability to work with cleaning chemicals
Swim Requirements:
● Swim 200 yards continuously using front crawl stroke or breaststroke ● Retrieve a 10 pound brick from the bottom of the 11 foot pool ● Tread water without hands for two minutes
Training: All lifeguards will go through the Ellis and Associates training class on-site, upon arrival. The class is free if you do not quit or are not fired before your employment end date. The cost of the training is $85.00 and it will be deducted from your final paycheck if you do not finish your agreed upon employment dates. No previous lifeguard experience is necessary. You are paid during this
training. All lifeguards are required to participate in weekly in-service training and failure to complete in-service training will result in termination of your employment at the park.
Admissions Attendants are responsible for managing guest entry to the Park according to Park regulations. You must be able to provide high levels of customer service, as you will be the first staff member that guests interact with upon arriving to the Park. You must be able to work long hours on your feet in various weather conditions.
Basic Job Duties Include: ● Handling cash and credit transactions using a cash register ● Handling cash transactions and issuing parking passes for the parking lot ● Issuing and processing daily admission and season pass tickets ● Scanning tickets upon guest entry ● Checking guests’ bags upon guest entry
Admissions Employees Will Be Working In The Following Areas Of The Park:
● Ticket Booths ● Parking Booths ● 4D Theater
Park Services are responsible for the overall cleanliness of park facilities. This includes guest bathrooms, walkways, picnic shelters, and parking lot areas. You are expected to be willing to clean toilets, sinks, and floors within the bathrooms. You will be taught how to use any chemicals or cleaners required to do this job. Park Services team members will rotate jobs throughout the day and will be among guests throughout the entire day. You will need to be prepared to be working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Basic Job Duties Include: ● Providing a high level of customer service as Park Services employees are working among
guests 100% of the day ● Possible guest interactions include giving directions to guests, answering park questions, and
directing guests to management when needed ● Cleaning of guest bathrooms, including toilets ● Sweeping of park public areas ● Cleaning picnic tables ● Collecting food trays from dining areas ● Changing garbage bags from garbage receptacles ● Basic landscaping such as watering flowers. This will consist of less than 5% of the day, to be
completed in the morning before the park opens
Food and Beverage Associates are responsible for the daily operations of Noah’s Ark food stands and cafes. You must be able to work for long periods of time on your feet in various weather conditions. You may be in a warm environment due to the weather and close proximity to cooking appliances. You must be willing and able to work with alcohol and pork products. You may be using cleaning chemicals. Training for all Food and Beverage employees will be provided through SafeServe. This includes register training, food preparation, and proper food handling.
Basic Job Duties Include: ● Cooking of various foods at food stands ● Preparing food and beverage items according to customer’s order ● Following all food safety and preparation guidelines ● Stocking of food products in stands and cafes ● Handling cash and credit transactions ● Providing general customer service ● Cleaning of the counters, floors, appliances, windows, trash receptacles, and other surfaces in
food stands and cafes Work Hours: You should expect to work an average of 32 hours/week throughout the summer. Employees are automatically assigned shi�s based on availability. You then have the option to pick up any open shi�s or trade with other staff. We use WhenToWork for our online scheduling. Hours are subject to change based on weather, park attendance, and park closing time changes. Uniforms: All required uniforms are provided free of charge . Optional uniform pieces can be purchased. You must return required uniform pieces to us upon employment completion. You should come with appropriate footwear; lifeguards are able to wear sandals (no flip flops), crocks, or water shoes. All other employees must wear black or white non-slip shoes. Housing Information: Noah’s Ark Waterpark does provide housing. We have a brand new 400 bed dormitory. Each room sleeps four, with a private restroom. The dormitory has the following amenities: laundry, cafeteria, convenience store, fitness room, recreational space, and kitchens. By request, Noah's Ark also has a few housing options outside of the dorm. The cost of the housing is $85.00/week and a $300.00 cash or card security deposit is required upon move in. You may receive $150.00 back if you work through your agreed upon work end date, your room is clean, and you are up to date on all rent payments. You have the option of receiving your full deposit back if you meet the previous requirements and purchase a breakfast meal plan for $20.00 a week. Area Description: Wisconsin Dells, being The Waterpark Capital of the World, is home to eight different waterparks, multiple zip lines, mini golf courses, arcades, escape rooms, and more. Additionally “The Dells” area is known for its unique nature including lakes, parks, and hiking trails. All employees have the option of purchasing a Dells Activity Card for $15.00 that gains you access to many of these attractions for free.
