PROSPECTING REPORT CROXALL (GOOSE LAKE) PROPERTY
SHAW TOWNSIllP, PORCUPINE MINING DMSION
Work Report
This report covers on-going prospecting work in the Goose Lake area. See Figure 4 work locations sketch.
October 2. 2007
Soil Sampling on Line 'B' - 5 soil samples were taken with a Dutch Auger on the flagged and bip--chained traverse line. A description of the soil types and vegetation is included. A single soil sample was taken at U1M 490221FJ5365600N in an effort to cover the location of a north-south striking fault indicated by D.R.Pyke. A previously taken sample from 4O'W on traverse Line 'E' was submitted for analysis with the above 6 samples because adjacent Line 'E' samples retmned interesting Au values. Some prospecting at that time located an apparent shear zone on the top of a high outcrop on the shore of the lake.
May 9.2008
Two small "sandblasts" were performed on part of the width of the above mentioned shear zone. Reference samples of the heavily carbonatized (ankerite) but unminem1ized rock from the blast were collected. A small area under an overtmned tree root about 75 meters southwest of the blast site was observed to contain a 2-3"wide quartz stringer striking N70·W.
May 15,2008
Prospecting traverses were canied out over the western part of the large south shore outcrop area. A number of exposed outcrops were tested with potassium feJ:ricyanide staining solution with the blue scratch tests all indicating ankerite as the primary carbonate mineral. A rusty zone was encotmtered and traced south eastward to the intersection of Line 'B' and the east-west wagon road. This zone appears to be a siliceous sulpbide iron formation varying from 10 to 25 feet wide where exposed. A reference sample consisting of massive coarse pyrite was collected at UTM 490075FJ5365557N. The iron formation at this location will be stripped and properly sampled/assayed in the :future.
SUMMARY (Refer to Figure 5)
Prospecting to date on the south and east shores of Goose Lake has indicated the presence of a large ankerite-alteration zone correlating with geophysicalIy-indicated WNW and NW striking rocks. Numerous anomalous MMI-Au soil aualyses occur on all traverse
3
Lines A through E. A particularly strong and continuous, anomalous Au trend was observed to occur along traverse Line 'C' between 550'NE and 800'NE. This zone correlates very well with a NW -SE striking fault zone indicated by Carlson as the Goose Lake Fault. The anomalous responses on Lines A and E correlate well with the AEM conductive zone along the NE shore of the lake. As these zones appear to be along the NW strike extension of the Ester Porcupine Gold Mines gold occurrence more work along this horizon is planned in future.
