The company…I would describe the company IPC media as being a mainstream company, this is because they produce a number of magazines which are well known to the public. Also they produce weekly magazines which means that they must be selling there magazines on a large scale. The total circulation of the magazine between January 2010 and June 2010 was 33,875.

British?I would consider the magazine to be British because it is a popular British publication. Also the writers of the magazine are British and these are Tony Parsons and Julie Burchill. The magazine editor is Krissi Murison who is also British. This means that the magazine will have a very British feel to it. The magazine includes the British weekly charts.

Audience…The target audience for NME magazine would be both male and female. This is because it is a more gender equal magazine and it is not biased towards a certain gender. NME also have a wider range of music genres included in it rather than a specific genre. NME is also a very popular magazine, it is popular with young people because of the up to date music that it includes. NME try to target there audience in both male and females and they target younger people rather than older people.
