Top Five Tips1. Prepare thoroughly, analyse data, read OFSTED reports before first visit
2. Be clear about what is needed, who will do it, when and how it will be achieved
3. Put quantitative measures in place e.g. improvements in attainment and progress
4. Keep the client and all commissioners in the loop at every stage
5. Remember the crucial word is SUPPORT and you are building the scaffolding of
success around the client

Top tips for success and impact
1. Keep communication lines open, lots of phone calls, cards, emails
2. Do your Notes of Visit on the day with clear NLE & school actions
3. Use trackable gap tasks in order that school is proactive
4. Keep focus on leadership, quality of teaching and learning and data
5. Do the difficult conversation but always be supportive
Remember you are the scaffolding….. which will be pushed away as they build strength.
