HON 2070, section 1, MWF 12:20-1:10 (Dr. Neil Calkin, Mathemat-ics) -- "The Greatest Math Problems of All Time." Throughout histo-ry, difficult mathematical challenges have helped shaped the waywe think about--and influence--the world. Dr. Calkin's course is not

just for math majors--anyone who is comfortable with and inter-ested in mathematics is welcome.

HON 2200, section 1, TR 9:30-10:45 (Dr. Michael Meng, History) -- "The Berlin Wall and Communism." Yesterday (November 9)

marked the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, an eventwhich set off a chain reaction of events that included the reunifica-tion of Germany and the downfall of the Soviet Union. Explore thisfascinating topic with Dr. Meng, who is an expert on modern Ger-man and European history (counts for social science credit).

HON 2220, section 1, MWF 11:15-12:05 (Dr. Colin Pearce, PoliticalScience) -- "The Wisdom of the Moderns." Dr. Pearce's course ex-plores the political and philosophical ideas of some of the greatestthinkers of the modern (that is, post-Renaissance) world. Theseideas--which will challenge you to think in new and different ways--are as relevant today as they have ever been (counts for socialscience credit).
