Be sure to look into the Honors College's own study abroad program in Belgium, led by our former director, Dr. Steve Wainsco. Student s in Dr. Wainsco's program live and study in Brussels for a month, while learning about the history of Belgium and issues involving the European Union. Not to menon the Belgian french fries ( pommes frîtes) and chocolate. Dr. Wainsco has a wealth of experience in , knowledge of, and enthusiasm for Belgium in general and Brussels in parcular. He'll be organizing excursions to important sites and cies --includin g the medieval town of Ghent, and the historic bale elds at Ypres. Your courses (which can count for general educaon credit) are taught by European professors, so you'll get a very dierent perspecve than you'd get in the States.
