Tools Long flat screw driver and a small flat screw driver Phillips head screw driver 10mm Socket Container to hold bolts, screws and loose items. Installation The first procedure is to remove the internal door panel. Instructions below may refer to the “latch end” or the “hinge end”. This means that as you look at the driver’s door from the inside, the Right side is the “latch end”, and the Left side is the “hinge end”. Removing the door panel from the door frame. 1. Lower door window all the way. 2. Remove door lever cover using small flat screw driver. Wedge the screw driver between the door handle cover and the lock button to gently loosen the cover. Repeat at the bottom if necessary. 3. Remove arm rest cover. You should be able to do this by hand. Grip the “latch end” of the cover and lift. Use a flat screw driver if it doesn’t come away easily. Installation

Thefirstprocedureistoremovetheinternaldoorpanel.Instructionsbelowmayrefertothe“latchend”orthe“hingeend”.Thismeansthatasyoulookatthedriver’sdoorfromtheinside,theRightsideisthe“latchend”,andtheLeftsideisthe“hingeend”.

Removingthedoorpanelfromthedoorframe.

1. Lowerdoorwindowalltheway.

2. Removedoorlevercoverusingsmallflatscrewdriver.Wedgethescrewdriverbetweenthedoorhandlecoverandthelockbuttontogentlyloosenthecover.Repeatatthebottomifnecessary.

3. Removearmrestcover.Youshouldbeabletodothisbyhand.Gripthe“latchend”ofthecoverandlift.Useaflatscrewdriverifitdoesn’tcomeawayeasily.

4. Remove2screwsbehindthearmrestcover.

5. Removethescrewatthebottomofthehandlesectionoftheelectricalcontrolpanel.

6. Liftouttheelectricalcontrolpanelfromthe“hingeend”first.Thiscanbedonebyhand,althoughaflatscrewdrivermayhelpunclipthatend.

7. Removeelectricalplugbehindtheelectricalcontrols.Theremaybe2electricalplugsonthedriver’sside.Thesmallplugisremovedbypressingthesmalltag.Theotherplugmayneedtobewedgedoutwithasmallflatscrewdriver.

8. Removescrewlocatedbehindtheelectricalcover.

9. Removetriangularplasticcoverat“hingeend”(coveringthemirrorbolts).Youmayneedtowedgeaflatscrewdriverbetweenthecoverandthedoorframetounclipthesmallplugwhichkeepsthecoverinplace.

10. Thedoorpanelconnectstothedoorwithseveralhiddenplasticplugsthatrunalongthebaseandupeachsides.Theplugsatthebaseofthedoorarelocatedbesideindentsinthemetalframe.Locatetheseindentsandgentlyprisethepanelawayfromtheframewithalongflatscrewdriver.Continuepullingthepanelupthesidesofthedooruntilallplugshaveunclipped.

11. Oncealltheplugshavebeendetachedgentlytapthebaseofthepaneluntilthewholepanelseparatesfromthedoorframe.

ThenextprocedureistoremovetheexistingmirrorandtoinstalltheORAXL.It may be helpful to have another person assist in holding the mirrors whilst they are being detached and installed.

12. Removetheelectricalplugthatconnectsthemirrortothemirrorcontrols.Youmayneedtopeelbacktheclearplasticdustcovertoaccessthisplug.Removetheplugbypressingthetabandgentlypullingtheplugout.

13. Use10mmsocketorPhilipsscrewdrivertoloosenthebolts,beginningwiththebottombolts.Holdthemirrororhavesomeoneholditforyouasthefinaltopboltisremoved.Thencarefullyremovethemirror.

14. ThreadthroughtheORAXLmirrorelectricalcable.Thenpositionthenewmirrorinplaceensuringthattherubbersealisflushandinposition.

15. Screwinthetopboltfirst(initiallynottootight)thentheothers.Thentightenallbolts.

16. Connectelectricalplugends.Thencheckthattheelectricalmirrorbuttonswork.Thelargertopsectionofthemirrorshouldmoveleft/right/up/downasyourstandardmirrordid.Thebottommirrorismanuallyadjusted.Replacetheclearplasticdustcover.

17. Replacethedoorpanel.Startingwiththewindowcavityatthetop,usingsomemanualpressuretopopitintoplace.Theplugsatthebaseandsidesshouldlineupandclickintoplace.

18. Replace3screws:Onebehindtheelectricalcontrolpanel,twobehindthearmrest.

19. Replacethecontrolpanelelectricalplug.Thenputtheelectricalcontrolpanelbackinposition.

20. Replacetheverticalscrewthatholdstheelectricalcontrolpanelinposition.

21. Replacethearmrest,“hingeend”first.

22. Replacethedoorhandlecover.

23. Replacethetriangularplasticcover.

YournewORAXLtowingmirrorisnowreadytouse.

TheMirrorsarepresettotheoptimumangleforviewingfromthedriver’sposition.Howevertheywillfoldinifyouaccidentallystrikeanobject.

ORAXLmirrorswillextendoutanextra100mmifrequired.Firmlypullonthemirrorheaduntilitslidesallthewayout.
