Our basic strategy is the expansion of the gaming population, which is to encourage as many people in the world as possible, regardless of age, gender or gaming experience, to embrace and enjoy playing video games

and camera

2001 – Many variants of

GameBoy came up in Us and Japan

2004 – company came up with a

new mobile console –

“Nintendo DS”

2005 – launched Nintendo Wireless

fidelity (wi-fi connection)

2006 – launched Nintendo DS lite and Wii – a game

console

2008 – new video game “Wii fit” in

US

2009 – launched new variation of

Wii remote in blue and pink

2011 - Nintendo 3DS – 3D gaming

device without the use of glasses

Feb 2012 – expanded to UK

with Boingo Wireless for free wifi on airports

Aug 2012 - launched Nintendo

3DS XL, a larger version of its 3D handheld gaming

console

The company recorded revenues of JPY1,014,345 million ($11,867.8 million) during the financial year ended March 2011 (FY2011), a decrease of 29.3% compared to FY2010. The product wise distribution of revenue is:• Handheld hardware (29.4%)• Home console hardware (23.9%)• Home console software (21.8%)• Handheld software (16.5%)• Other (8.3%)

The US, Nintendo's largest geographical market, accounted for 39.3% of the total revenues while Japan accounted for 16.6% of total revenue.
