ESTONIAN BROADCASTING MUSEUMVABRIKU PUIESTEE 11, TÜRI. OPENING HOURS FOR THE MUSEUM NIGHT: 18–23.

The permanent exhibition introduces the history of broadcasting, beginning with the very first attempts to broadcast over radio.

ARAVETE VILLAGE MUSEUMKURISU 1, ARAVETE BOROUGH. OPENING HOURS FOR THE MUSEUM NIGHT: 18-23

The museum is housed in Kurisoo Manor – a remarkable 19th-century single-floor building with a subdued façade, situated in the middle of a park. The exposition consists of rooms dedicated to firefighting, women, collective farms, sound equipment, teachers and classrooms, plus a threshing room in the attic.

The Museum Night programme features handicraft workshops (belts and braids) and a temporary exhibition of the handicraft of our ancestors.

18.00 Opening of the Museum Night

18–21 „Mustri vägi“ (“The Power of the Pattern”) – workshop on folk costumes of Järva County.

18–22 Museum cafe is open

18–23 Interactive game “Peidetud mustrid” („Hidden Patterns“).

18.30 Opening of the exhibition on police history. Criminological patterns traced with a police dog.

19.00 Lecture „Mustrimängud kultuuris“ (“Pattern Games in Culture”).

20.00 Concert „Öös on mustreid“ (“Patterns in the Night”).

23.00 Closing of the Museum Night in Järva County Museum.

23.00 A night-time journey to Wittenstein Time Centre (Paide Castle Tower). Visitors are welcomed by a retro cafe and patterns of 1990’s dance music.

NB! Only the Järva County Museum is open for visitors for the main part of the Museum Night. Wittenstein Time Centre (Paide Castle Tower) can be visited in the course of the night-time journey starting at 23.00.

A. H. TAMMSAARE MUSEUM IN VARGAMÄEJÄRVAMAA, VETEPERE, ALBU PARISH. OPENING HOURS FOR THE MUSEUM NIGHT: 18–23.

“Patterns of Vargamäe in the Night” – The Museum Night in Vargamäe will focus on the places, activities, historical and literary patterns in the novel “Tõde ja õigus” (“Truth and Justice”). The programme will involve other important sights near Tammsaare’s birthplace: St. Matthew›s Church in Järva-Madise and Albu parish house. Visitors will be able to experience both everyday patterns and specially crafted artistic patterns by attending exhibitions, playing the Museum Night patterns game, eating and listening to folk music. Together, we will search for the real-life basis of “Tõde ja õigus” and weave the historical reality, plot of the novel and our contemporary times into a single pattern.

20.00 “Patterns of Estonia from 1000ft High” – fascinating photos with comments by aerial photographer Andres Tarto

The museum is displaying the exhibition “Patterns on Bicycles – Chain Wheels as Art“

Before and after the “Patterns of Estonia”, we will follow the usual pattern of the Bicycle Museum by playing shellac records from the 1920s-1930s on a 1929 wind-up gramophone.

OLD VEHICLES SHELTER IN JÄRVA-JAANILAI 7, JÄRVA-JAANI. OPENING HOURS FOR THE MUSEUM NIGHT: SUNRISE TO SUNSET

19.00 and 21.00 pattern games in the shelter

The permanent exhibition of the shelter consists mainly of vehicles and trailers that reigned on our roads in the Soviet period. A visit to the fire prevention kitchen and railway safety installation is also an integral part of the tour. Exclusive retro trips with old vehicles on request.
