For this mega yacht, with diesel electricpropulsion, the on board generation andpropulsion system includes:
• Three main generators, 1700 KVA-690V-50Hz• Main distribution switchboard, 690V-50 kA• Two main propulsion transformers, 2250 kVA each• Two main propulsion converters, low voltage watercooled IGBT based VSI with 2 x 1800 kW shaft linesand 367 thruster• Two main propulsion motors, 1700 kW each

The system is completed with transformersand variable speed drives for the bowthrusters (100 kW each), powermanagement system, power limit system,alarm monitoring and control system.
The project of the main propulsion has beenoptimized in order to minimize the harmoniccontent on the network. Specifically the mainpropulsion system works with 48 pulsereactions towards the network when bothshaft lines are in operation and with 24 pulsereactions with each single shaft line.

The result of this union was the culmination ofa dream, the first hybrid yacht over 20 feet longThat Produces negligible tailpipe emissions.
The yacht is a 75-foot tri-deck that has a ahybrid propulsion system. When running ondiesel and cruising at eight knots it emits 10kilograms of carbon dioxide for each nauticalmile. The engine charges a battery pack thatcan also power the boat. In this diesel-electricmode, it emits less than half a kilogram eachnautical mile.
