Bio Nicolas Mahler Nicolas Mahler was born in Vienna in 1969. In 2003 he co-founded the ‘Kabinett für Wort und Bild’ (‘Cabinet of Word and Image’) in Vienna’s museum quarter. He is one of the best and most important German speaking comic artists and won the prestigious “Max-und-Moritz“-award three times in a row. His comicstrips and cartoons are published in numerous newspapers, anthologies and magazines in the German speaking countries (such as Frank- furter Allgemeine Zeitung, Titanic) and his books are also published in France, USA and a lot of other countries as well. His comics were adapted as radio plays, puppet-shows and his animated films were shown at film-festivals all around the globe.
