NHS Community Pharmacist Consultation Service – Clinical assessment-essential skills workshop Workshop content The day is facilitated by CPPE tutors supported by a GP trainer and a clinical demonstrator. Participants work through the following topics: - person-centred history taking - clinical assessment and red flags - common clinical examinations - safety netting and referrals. Learners will have opportunity to re- flect upon the behaviours and skills they need to offer the CPCS. The day includes brief presentations, demon- stration, group work, case studies and a practical session to practice a range of basic clinical examinations and observa- tions. The GP trainer will share exam- ples of best practice and experiences from their own practice. Who is it suitable for? The day is designed for pharmacists only. To get the best from the day we recom- mend that all participants complete the pre-workshop material that will be sent out in advance of the workshop.
