Drip edge - .032 inch minimum, aluminum painted white. Installation specification As per GAF spec sheet included with this document. Air intakes and vents The three air intake louvers that penetrate the roof (shown in the photo below) are to be replaced with aluminum goose neck screened air intakes that are raised so that they are at least 18 inches above the roof so that they are above the snow line.
Exterior louver and ductwork to be painted aluminum, submit shop drawing for approval. Roof Deck The existing roof deck is constructed of tongue and groove lumber and appears to be in good condition, however bidders are required to provide a unit cost (per square foot) to replace decking that is found to be unsound. Dimensions The drawing provided below is provided as a guide actual dimensions should be verified by bidders prior to submitting bids. Fascias, Gutters and Soffits The existing wood fascias and soffits are decayed and covered with peeling lead based paint. They will be removed by the abatement contractor and replaced by the installation contractor as part of this bid. When originally constructed the building did not have gutters, instead it has decorative molding applied to the fascia (as shown in the attached drawings). The molding prevented the proper installation of the gutters. The contractor is to replace the fascia removed by the abatement contractor and add continuous pressure treated wood blocking (as shown in the attached drawings) to which the new gutters will be installed. The replacement soffits are to be perforated vinyl (white).
