CONTINUED ON PAGE 67 West Midlands Police are tonight in- vestigating an incident where a Bir- mingham teenager was murdered by a known local gang. The gang members commited the offence in a vicious attack where around 20 gang members set about the lone victim. The incident occured outside the Emerald chinese restaurant in the Northfield area of Birmingham. In CCTV footage of the incident the victim identified as 18 year old Cal- lum Freeman is stopped by the gang and reaches for a pack of cigarettes, the gang then set upon him drag- ging him to floor and landing brutal kicks to all parts of his body, after a five minute non-stop assault the gang back off leaving Callum in a heap on the floor. After being on the floor losing for around thirty minutes a passer by finds Callum and calls an Ambulance but he is pronounced dead at the scene. The police have posted pictures of the suspected attackers and are appealing to anyone with information about their identity to come forward.
