MARK’S ACTIVITY REPORT

Howdy LARC Club Members......

There are some big changes happening with our Club Activities....

First big change, The Friday Night Fever Cruise In IS NO LONGER ON THE BURNET SQUARE. It is

now on Hwy 281 in Marble Falls at the Food Court, across the Highway from Sonic, There are two Food Trail-

ers,one red and one silver.

The red one has GREAT brisket, ribs and sausage--- the silver has super good burgers and other great food,

also ICE CREAM. ummie nummie, also this is a BYOB, Ice will be provided.

Also we will have music by CY Franklin and maybe guests… Please bring TIP $$$$$.

The Burnet Square was a beautiful spot but we were losing visiting cars and didn't have many spectators,

therefore the change.... So let's meet at 5:pm Friday evening and have a great time bring your chairs.

The other big change is our Annual Car Show... It will be held in Hamilton park at the same time as the

BLUE BONNET FESTIVAL, Just like old times... That is all the big changes happening at this time.....

The Bertram Parade and the Oatmeal Festival is this Sat. Our set up time is 9:30, We can throw candy if we

have someone walking next to our cars. We don't want to run over any little human varmints.

Also if you're interested, on Sunday. there will be a caravan leaving the Shell Station at 9:30 and going to the

Liberty Hill High School Cruise In.

(Ed. Note: Mark mentioned these upcoming events at the August meeting).

FRIDAY STEAK NIGHT AT THE EAGLE’S LODGE IN GRANITE SHOALS

EDITOR’S CORNER

It’s going to be a short Newsletter for September. Lots of fewer pictures. Your fiendly editor dropped the ball

this month. Ron, our able and esteemed Club Photographer and documentary of all things pictorial, asked

yours truly to fill in for him this month as photo guy for some of the events. So what does he do? He goes to

the August Friday Night Fever with the camera, and gets so involved with jaw jacking with his friends that he

forgets to take the camera out of his pocket and do his duty. Oh, well, what can you expect from the hired

help? He did manage to take a couple of pics at Mosca’s and at the Eagle’s Lodge, when he wasn’t stuffing

his face with food and drink. Pizza is great at Mosca’s and steaks are delicious and tender at the Eagle’s

Lodge. Thank the Lord that our area escaped the ravages of Harvey, but our poor Houston and Rockport! All

those made homeless and desperate by the flooding. Please keep them in your prayers. I’m sure some of

us have loved ones in Houston and are as worried as Judy and I.
