PSSA Representative Soccer Day On Monday, our representative team travelled to Gloucester to play our first round against Gres-ford PS. It was a challenging game which saw some brilliant defensive work from Paige, James, Gwen and Oliver. Our goalies Cooper and Emily were also put to the test by their attacking play-ers. Our teamwork increased throughout the match, however we were unsuccessful, and went down 6-2. Our goals were scored by Will and Harry. A third goal looked quite close, but was fum-bled by the goal keeper and stopped millimetres from the goal line. Bad luck, Will! Our second match was against Stroud. Will and Harry worked well to move the ball down the field with the support of Jaylee, Alex, Lachlan S and Michael. Their goal keeper was quite skilled and successfully stopped several of our attempts to score. Fortunately Harry, Will and Lachlan S were able to sneak some past to win the game 7-1. Stroud attackers were also fast and tested Cooper and Jaylee in their position as keeper. Griffin and Paige worked well on the back line to turn the ball around and send it back down the field. This game was quite closely matched and proved to be our most exhilarating of the day. The players and manager, Mrs Courtney, would like to send a humongous thank you to Mrs Cole for making time to coach us during and after school as well as from the sidelines on game day. We would also like to thank the parents who supported us on the sideline and transported us to Gloucester.

Living in The Country is great - Bella Where do you get to breathe clean air, have room to run, and see wild life up close ? in the country. This is why I think living in the country is great. Firstly in the country the air is clean. Factories and cars pollute the air. There are not many, if any, factories and fewer cars in the country than in the city. This means the air is very clean so that makes it a healthier place to live. Secondly, in the country I have lots of room to run and do fun things. I live on a farm in the country so I have lots of space to run in my backyard, go on walks in The bush and ride my motorbike in the paddocks, which I LOVE I couldn’t do these things in the city. Thirdly, I get to see lots of animals living in the country. Living on a farm, I get to have pets like my dog Marley, our chickens and our cows. There are also lots of native Australian wildlife that live around me like kangaroos in the paddock and kookaburras in the trees. I think living in the country is great. If you like clean air to breathe, lots of room to do fun things and love animals of all kinds, then you will agree that living in the country is great. THE END.
