The performance was certainly the highlight and I would again like to thank Mr Burke for all of his hard work in pulling this together. The students also need to be congratulated again for their commitment to learning lines, making props and having the courage to get up on stage and perform in front of a big crowd. The P&C again did a fabulous job of cooking dinner for everybody and the supper was delicious. Thank you to all those people who helped with the BBQ and brought a plate to share. Congratulaons to Pania Smith the RSL branch award recipient for 2011, this award was well deserved by Pania. She has proved herself as a terrific role model and leader at Hernani Public School consistently this year. We will dearly miss our year six students moving onto high school: Pania, Frankie, Lachlan, PJ and Jeff and of course the Smith and Fritz families. We wish you all the best for your future endeavours and hope that we will see you out and about and keep in contact. End of Year Excursion The end of year excursion to the Big Banana water slides was a fantasc way to celebrate the end of our school year. It was a good reward for all of the hard work and good behaviour the students have shown all year. Thank you to Pania and Chloe for their efforts with the worm farm, this money funded lolly bags for everyone for the Coffs Harbour Candy Kitchen. Also, thank you to the P&C for funding the delicious fish and chips for lunch.

Playgroup at schoolOur last playgroup at school day for this year was held on Tuesday 13th December. We will be continuing the playgroup at school program next year as it has been very successful this year with more numeracy and literacy activities to make and take home! Thank you to the families that supported the program this year. The sense of security and confidence of the playgroup children has noticeably increased throughout the year which successful illustrates the central outcome of the program .
