Dear Families, Pupil Free Day Yesterday teachers aended a day in Wodonga run by La Trobe University on behalf of DET. The focus was on understanding learning difficules, with strategies to aid teachers with differenaon and support within their classrooms. Bike Track and Bike Shelter update To date we have raised approximately $2100. Tad will begin work this Thursday on our bike shelter. Mr Armitage has been busy with lots of students helping make some feature points along the track. We will be spreading some mulch and planng some nave vegetaon later in the term. Car Boot Sale Our community car boot sale is on Sunday 20th May. Please help us spread the word. We are looking for a few volunteers to assist with cooking the BBQ. This is a great opportunity to get the kids involved. We have small suitcase/bag stall available especially for kids who want to try and sell some old goodies. No promise that they wont come home with more. A cake stall will be run by the school. A plate will be sent home next week . We ask that families provide a cake, slice or biscuits to sell at the stall. Helpers will be required to help sell goodies. Mothers Day We have an excing aſternoon planned for our Mothers this year. We will be providing a yummy High Tea on Friday 11th May at 2pm and a social funcon for mothers in the evening. RSVP by Thursday please. School Values Last week it was easy to see our school value of support being lived both inside and outside the classroom. It is a pleasure to sit back and watch older students helping younger students oſten without being asked. This is what makes our school a great place to be each day. NAPLAN Next Monday is the start of NAPLAN tesng for Years 3 and 5s. They will complete 4 tests over 4 days. An informaon sheet for parents is aached for Yr 3 and 5 parents. We are hosting a screening of the documentary “SCREENAGERS” at Beechworth Montessori School (42 Gilchrist Avenue) on Friday 18th May at 6.30pm.
