From the Director's Desk Dear Brothers and Sisters: Assalamu-alaikumwa-rahmatullah

Alhamdulillah, the most important news of this month is that our program is going on in these days in Al-Masjid Al-Haram; in one of the teaching halls in the basement of the Masjid. A team of teachers, especially the volunteers from Jeddah are teaching the courses in Urdu, Bangla, Tamil, Malayalam, and English. The first program was conducted by Br AbdulRaheem Nayeemuddin, who was performing Hajj this year. May Allah reward all of those who helped us in arranging the program, collecting the people, preparing the materials, and most importantly in delivering the program.

Based on the feedback that we are getting, the audience is indeed excited to know this method and inshaAllah they will continue learning further based on the materials provided and through the related institutions in their countries or through our website.

1. UQA syllabus in 140 Indian Schools:

This month we have got 6 new schools in Hyderabad. Some schools insist that we pay salary for the teacher. For new schools, we do provide our teacher (and therefore we pay the salary) but want them to take over in a couple of months. We can’t continue supporting them for all times. We would have done that, had we had more resources! We ask Allah to bless us with more resources. Following is the number of schools in different states/cities and countries. Within brackets, cities are shown:

2. UQA Syllabus in 14 Madaaris:

Fourteen Madaris have already adopted UQA Course. No new Madarsa is added this month. Further efforts are being made to introduce our course in other Masajid/Madaris.

We request you to introduce our course in Madaaris that you are familiar with. It will inshaAllah make their start of Arabic learning very easy, smooth, and interesting.

3. UQA syllabus in 13 Study Circles:

Qur’an Study Circles are informal small groups. Most of these are sisters gathering together on weekly basis to study UQA Courses. By this program, UQA has been able to reach out to 100’s of Muslim homes with the message of Holy Qur’an in past few years. Alhamdulillah, the participants are excited to learn Arabic with this new style. Below is the list of those that we are following up with them.

There are many others which we could not follow up. Now Br Qurram ([email protected]) is offering his help to organize the study circles and update them with the guidelines etc. Please do write and email to him if you are conducting a study circle or attending it.

4. Teachers’ Training Courses (TTC) – Trained 1524 teachers so far:

In September we conducted 1 TTC Program Alhamdulillah as detailed below: - TTC 37th Batch held at UQA Hqrs. Hyderabad. 14 Teachers are trained. - The demand for TTC is so huge that the Year-2015 is almost booked.

7. Update on Qur’an Campus and Dream-39 Project:

The work on Qur’an Campus is progressing Alhamdulillah. In view of urgent requirements, additional

members from UQA are working on executing the project. Construction activity is in full swing,

Alhamdulillah. Block B is near completion and the Elevation work of Block A is ongoing.

The UQA team has decided to start with the following courses as soon as the building is ready: 1. Teachers’ Training Course 10-days course 2. Understand Qur’an & Salah – Course 1 (50% of the words of the Qur’an) – 3 days course 3. Understand Qur’an & Du’aas – Course 2 (70% of the words of the Qur’an)– 3 days course 4. Read Al-Qur’an – 5 days course 5. Learn Tajweed – the Easy Way – 3 days course

For Dream-39 course, we pray to Allah to bless us with the resources so that we can construct the

following:

An auditorium that can accommodate 300 to 400 people (50% gentlemen and 50% ladies)

A hostel for men

A hostel for women

A kitchen and dining facility with separate dining halls for men and women.

May Allah bless those brothers who have especially dedicated their time, resources, and efforts to

help us complete this facility.

8. Teachers Section:

Scoreboard as motivator

Scoreboard has scored the top position among all types of classroom motivation techniques. Appreciating,

rewarding the student and generating the competitive spirit are the key deliverables of this simple yet effective

method.

Students learn the subjects as long as they are interested in and they are interested as long as they are

motivated. Teachers face huge challenge in keep the students motivated all through their lecture.

How it works

1. Scoreboard is based on Qur’anic Verse ا ايكم احسن عمل2. Create a positive competitive spirit in class

3. Post the Scoreboard in classroom with student names

4. Explain the stickers to students

5. 1 week of performance will be on board

6. Give some points to each sticker

7. Frowny face will deduct points

8. Reward students judicially. More reward will slacken student

performance.

9. Remind students to say Alhamdulillah! When he/she get reward

sticker, while other students should say Mash’Allah!

Our Vision:

To remove the illiteracy of the Qur’an from the current generation and to

bring up a Qur’anic generation for future so that they can practice as well

as be able to convey the message of Qur’an to the whole humanity.

To present the Qur’an in its reality, i.e., the most interesting, the most

relevant book for day-to-day activities as well as the most important book

for success in this life as well as in the hereafter.

Please note that:

The objective is not to produce scholars of the Qur’an. There are many

institutions, which are doing this.

It is for a common non-Arab Muslim so that he is aware of Allah’s

guidance.

Our mission:

Teach the Qur’an in the easiest possible way for adults, teens, and children

from schools and colleges, and madrassahs.

Prepare Qur’an Centric Islamic studies.
