Construction of Dhobi Ghat
Renovation & Maintenance of Kalyan Mandap, Koelnagar
The work renovation & Maintenance of Kalyan Mandap, Kolenagar with an estimated cost of Rs. 7.13 lakhs has been completed. The internal furnishing, PH and sanitation renovation work has become useful for the user in social functions.
The storm water drain back side of Kalyan Mandap, Koelnagar with an estimated cost of Rs.25.00 lakh has been completed, it will facilitate easy discharge of rain water and stop flood like situation in rainy season.
Functional of Shelter for Urban Homeless, Plant Site
One shelter for Urban Homeless at plant site, power house road has been made functional. Where most of
the houseless people took shelter at pavement, bus terminals, and buildings. The shelter have provided with 2 tire
cots (iron), freezed purified cold water, CCTV, Locker Facility etc. most of the beneficiaries from the peripheries are
coming and residing there. The patty business man, Bus Passengers, Truck Driver & Cleaner is utilized the SUH.
Orientation of members of RKS (Rogi Kalyan Samiti)
24th February 2016 at Meeting Hall, Sub Divisional
Hospital, Panposh. There were a total of 18 nos. of
RKS members from both UPHC, UFWC, Uditnagar
and UPHC, DAVMAC, Basanti Colony, Rourkela were
participated in the orientation program. The
orientation was aimed at improving the level of
understanding of the members on composition,
function of RKS, financial management, financial
record keeping of RKS fund utilized etc. The SDMO
cum Nodal Officer, NUHM, Rourkela, CPM and CAM
I/c,NUHM, Rourkela imparted the said orientation.
One day Field level training of Mahila Arogya Samiti (MAS) members is continuing with the support of NGO, SEWAK. During the month of February, 10 nos. of more batches out of 44 nos. batches successfully trained, with this a total of 30 nos. of batches out of 44 batches have trained. A total no of 363 members those are office bearers & members were trained. The main objective of conducting the training is to build up capacity among the MAS members to undertake the different activities of MAS in effective way, utilization of untied fund in purposeful manner, proper record keeping of all the activities etc.
The 1st Batch of Eight days Induction Training of ASHAs was
successful completed in ORES, Fertilizer, Rourkela where a
total of 37 nos. of ASHA from the different areas of
Rourkela city were participated. The training was imparted
by the different district level Programme cum nodal
officers, District Level Trainers, Medical Officers and
Programme Personnel of the Rourkela city. The training
was aimed at developing better understanding of the
participants on health system, the different schemes of the
govt. and role and responsibility of ASHA in urban context
etc.
As a part of National Program of the Govt. of India the 2nd
Round of Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization programme-2016 was successfully accomplished in Rourkela city from Dt: 21st to 23rd February 2016. Likewise 1st Round, there were total 226 nos. of booth were opened in the different areas of the city along with 3 mobile team and 17 transit team where the 0-5 years children were administered with pulse polio vaccine on 21st February 2016 on booth day. In next two days that is on 22nd & 23rd
February 2016 the vaccinator were undertaken the House to House activity as prescribed. A total nos. of 54045 Children were vaccinated during 2nd round which comes around 95 % of achievement which is around same during 1st Round of IPPI-2016.
The National Deworming Day-2016 was successfully observed in Rourkela city on 10th February 2016 (National Deworming Day) and 15th February 2016 (Mop up Day). The children within the age group of 1 to 19 years were administered albendazole tablet as per doses prescribed. 1 to 5 years children were administered in different Anganwadi centres of the city by respective Anganwadi Workers and 6 to 19 years children were administered in the different schools of Rourkela city by the school teachers. The children within the age group of 6-19 belongs to out of school category were also covered in concerned AWCs through motivation of ASHAs.
