Together with Mrs Tammy Little a teacher aide who has left our school about 2 weeks ago. W e would like to express our sincere thanks for contribution to the education of our children and for the friendship you have expressed to our staff and parents. We wish each staff member all the best for their future endeavours. Parent partnership As the year begins to close, we the staff of Rangebank Primary School would like to thank our parents for their support throughout 2014. There may have been times when you questioned decisions or processes but this year, together, we have combined to support your child(ren). This would have been through difficult situations, enjoyable situations and anxious situations. Each student at Rangebank knows their teachers and staff together with your support at home are working together to assist them to be as well educated as possible. Together, we have been able to provide a stable environment for each child in which learning can grow. In a chaotic environment, learning can be extremely difficult so a stable environment is important. Rangebank Primary is proud of our achievements this year as I'm sure you are too. Improved Naplan results for years 3 and years 5 in writing, reading, numeracy. Improved parent survey results, improved staff opinion results. We have been particularly pleased to say that across the school our writing has improved which has been due largely to our VCOP program. You may have to ask your child what VCOP is. Student engagement suggests that the majority of our children are indeed connected with their teachers and keen learners. A wonderful stepping stone for an even better 2015. Parent Helpers Morning Tea We had the pleasure of thanking many of our volunteers on Tuesday with a special morning tea provided by the staff at Rangebank. With over 30 volunteers in attendance it was a great time to reflect on the importance of being a positive role model for your children. A number of our parents are unable to assist during the day but assist in other ways where they can. Those who can help during the day such as our breakfast club, canteen, Thursday fruit cutters, school council, reading Mums and Dads, excursion helpers, painter of our fence, RE teachers, fund raisers and many others have provided our children with much needed support. As I said on the day, “We cannot repay these volunteers for all the work they have generated”. All we can do is say, “Thank You”. Christmas A number of students are leaving early or may have already left so I take this opportunity to wish each and everyone a very Merry Christmas and very Happy New Year. May the New Year bring great joy to you all. Change of Information
If your child/ren are not returning to Rangebank Primary in 2015 please let the office know as soon as possible, so

restriction court orders, emergency contacts etc.
Schools are often looking for organisations who are able to assist us.
Stockdale and Leggo Real Estate have very generously offered to
assist us in marketing our school in the Cranbourne area. In return,
we are very happy to encourage our community to use Stockdale and
Leggo Cranbourne as a worthy company to contact if you are wishing
to buy, sell or lease your home. Please speak to our fabulous office
people who will forward your name onto Stockdale and Leggo. This
also applies to family, friends or acquaintances.
The school then profits from a recommendation fee and of
course the communication to new families ‘that Rangebank Primary is
a great school’ is passed on by Stockdale and Leggo.

Rangebank’s Grade 5 & 6 Choirs Delight Nursing Home Residents!
Last Friday Grade 5 choir sang Christmas carols for the residents at Melville Grange Hostel, in Berwick. Voices were magnifi-cent and they were gratefully applauded! A spread was put on for the students after the event, for which they were very grateful. They returned to school and the Grade 6 choir was collected. The Grade 6 choir had lunch at Tregenza’s Farm and went on to sing at Regis Sherwood Aged Care. They sang beautifully and delighted residents! A brief snack was supplied before heading back to school. A busy day was had by all! But the students benefitted tremendously by giving of themselves and making connections in the community! Many thanks to Mr Ramsay, who drove one of the buses and helped make it a memorable day!
