Three of our children attended an Able Maths day at Ticehurst Primary School this week. Well done to Ishaan, Jude and Sindy for taking part and thank you to Mrs Hargreaves-Kapur for taking them along and staying with them. The children had a wonderful day and we are now looking at the possibil ity of running a similar day here at Hawkhurst so that more of our children can be involved.
OPEN MORNING
On Wednesday we held our first open morning for prospective parents for Rainbow class next year. After Mrs Elmes and I had talked to them in the hall, four of our Year 6 pupils took them for a tour and to talk to them about our school. Every single parent that attended came and told me what a fantastic job they had done and what a credit they are to the school. Well done to Alfie, Luka, Keeley and Emilia – I was very proud. We have two more Open Sessions, Wednesday 21 November, 9.30am and Wednesday 28 November, 1.30pm for anyone who has a child starting school next year.
EMOTIONAL WELLBEING SURVEY
Thank you to all of the families who responded to our Emotional Well-being Survey. The full results are available on our website. As a result of the feedback in the surveys, we would like to invite you to a coffee morning on Friday 30 t h November at 8.45 am, to find out more about how we currently support your child’s well-being and to offer any ideas or suggestions for things that you would find helpful in the future. There will even be a demonstration by some of our peer mediators, who help other children to resolve disputes in the playground.
HOUSE POINT WINNERS
NORMANS won the house-point competition last Term, so they can come in home clothes on Mon 19 November. Well done Normans
