Report on Activities at CP 2
Gypsy Revival
Prayer & Praise
Together with the older boys from the Orphanage CP2 we have
daily Bible studies, Bible reading, and a discussion, trying to
apply various examples from the Bible to our own lives. We went
through passages from the books of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Luke,
John and Romans. What an adventure of learning about faith.
At these meetings the young people showed amazing interest and
struggled with questions they wanted to find answers to. The most
common questions are: Why did God allow me to be here at the
orphanage? Why were we abandoned? How can I be a conqueror over the
sin I see all around me? Through studies, open discussions; reading
the Bible every day, we are trying to find answers and apply them
in our lives.
We see great changes, and their behavior has improved enormously
in all the activities we do together, Bible study, the reading of
the Bible, our outings and our games. They are open, friendly,
interested and, most important, they want to change even though its
very hard. One of them has problems with pornography, so we talk
daily and we encourage him to fight this attraction to sin.
There are also rewards for those who attend our meetings. We
usually take them to places where they can eat. Food is very
important to young men, especially when at the orphanage food is
never enough for them. I would like to encourage you to pray for
some of the young men that attend our Bible

Marcus, and Mihai Varga.
Adi Ciubotaru, is a 16 years old teenager in 9th grade. He seems
to be different from the other boys. He grew up in a poor family in
the area of Romania called Moldova. He was little when he came to
the orphanage in Oradea. His mother left his father and five
brothers some years ago. Adis father wanted to take care of them
but was unable to provide for the children. He took them to the
orphanage and left them there. The father worked and lived at the
orphanage for a while so he could be with his children. He cut
wood, cleaned the yard, and did all kinds of odd jobs just to stay
close to the children and see them daily. Because of the father
being there, the children integrated very well at the
orphanage.
Adi is a special person and he comes to the Bible study daily.
He is not interested in the prizes that we

offer, but is very competitive and wins most of the
competitions. He is a young man who is trying very much not to give
in to the pressure of others. He doesnt smoke or swear, and is
disciplined in reading the Bible and trying to apply it to his
life. This year his younger brother Luci went into a foster home
and Adi was very upset for days. He considered himself the
protector of his brothers,
him being the oldest, and this separation is hard on him. Please
pray for Adi and his four brothers. Pray for their safety and for a
forever family for each of Adis brothers.
The work we do in partnership for these children is critical. As
you go about your busy life, please remember us in your support and
prayers.
Gypsy Revival
Spring is in the air and so is the spiritual revival in the
Gypsy villages of Sabolciu and Tinca. In both locations we had
one-week of daily meetings where we shared the Gospel with those
who were willing to visit our churches. The preparation work for
these events brought the church to its knees seeking Gods face in
prayer and fasting. Throughout the week it was an amazing time of
praise and worship and teaching from the Scriptures.
Each night the church was packed and the services lasted 4-5
hours. In Sabolciu a couple nights we stayed until midnight. The
church was built up and those who needed salvation responded to the
call of God.
In total, over 48 people accepted the Lord as their Savior for
the first time. Many more people rededicated their lives to the
Lord. This amazing work would not have been possible without your
prayers. The believers in Tinca and Sabolciu asked me to thank you
on their behalf for the part you play in our partnership in the
spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to their villages.
Please continue to pray and support us so we can continue to
bring in a great harvest of souls into the Kingdom of God.To God be
the Glory!Cornel & Karen Bucur
