AIESEC in IBA HOSTS JLC 2014!

AIESEC in IBA formed as an expansion of AIESEC Karachi since 2012. It

became an LC at NYDS 13 and has been working in line with the vision of

AIESEC to create an impact in society.

July leadership conference 2014 is the third National Conference of

AIESEC in Pakistan and this year it was hosted by AIESEC in IBA.

JLC provides delegates to interact with the top leadership body of

AIESEC in PAKISTAN. It marks the start of the term of the new Member

Committee. The conference is used to plan the coming year for each of

the local entities, to make sure that these goals are aligned with AIESEC

vision of 2015, to train the new executive body with the necessary skills

needed to run their local committees throughout the year.

It was a three day conference, the most crucial of all the national

conferences as the fate of AIESEC Pakistan lies with this conference!

WHO IS YOUR MC?

Ali bin Shaheen, more commonly known as ABS,

with his spontaneous sense of humor kept the

JLC delegates alive and energetic! Moreover

with his ‘nashiyatein’ he seemed to inspire a lot

of AIESECers!

Ammara Shariq urf BAJO was found to be the

most realistic one! At the start of the conference

she was also known to be the scariest of the MC

members, but by the end of the conference all the

delegates seemed to ease around her presence.

She also became famous for her constant ‘mirror

gazing’ quality during other sessions. :P

Versha Qazi was seen to be the most energetic

one! Even after delivering continuous sessions

along with the legislation without any sleep at all,

she remained lively and enthusiastic throughout

the conference! Her zest and energy motivated

the delegates to do the same!

Waleed Zuberi became famous for readily

fulfilling his delegates ‘wishes’ and answering all

the questions honestly during ‘ Who is your MC

session’. Apart from that his sessions were

extremely informative. If implemented, his ideas

would take AIESEC Pakistan to a whole new level

of technological advancement.

-----MC SHOCKWAVE-----

Best Delegate:

Zaki Bihan

Best Delegation:

AIESEC in KARACHI

No, this was no ordinary conference. In Karachi’s heat, in

Ramadan JLC 2014 was hosted. Well, the OC did more than a

brilliant job by organizing the conference that began on Friday

July 11th, at the prestigious Regent Plaza Hotel. The venue was

indeed a delight for the delegates! The delegation comprised of

EB members from each of the five LC’s of AIESEC Pakistan

accompanied by their V5 members.

The July Leadership Conference kicked off with the basic aim of

planning for the next terms guided by MC Shockwave’s vision

for AIESEC Pakistan 2014-15. With AIESEC Pakistan having

finished a decade this year, the MC while commending the

growth seen in past year went on to encourage the EB’s to mark

new milestones and hail new beginnings. The theme of the year

being Gen 2015 according to the AI’s agenda, the MC designed

sessions to incorporate the very spirit that AIESECer’s embody

as change makers around the world.

The conference agenda planned by the MC, specifically Ammara

Shariq and Versha Qazi enticing enough to keep the delegates

mind off of the scrumptious arrangements of Iftari and Dinner

by the OC throughout the day until dusk. The spirit of the

conference was very successfully kept alive by our beloved,

currently serving on the SG, Affan Javed, who was chairing the

conference. As the MC kept the delegates busy lecturing and

planning, the Chair kept the atmosphere light with exciting

energizers .

The energy inculcated by the conference team in the delegates

along with the amazing delegate servicing by the OC meant that

in the end the MC and the EB’s returned home satisfied with the

ample planning and strategizing in the conference that would

allow them to kick start another brilliant decade.
