The Sikeston community has been blessed during this year’s winter months. Experiences as the ice storm of 2009, remains as a reminder that even though temperatures are below freezing, it could always be worse.

Taking precautions, through mainte-nance of power lines and electrical equipment, BMU displays diligence as they serve the citizens of Sikeston.

That service would not be possible with out the allegiance of their skilled linemen. In the midst of mother nature’s worst, BMU’s linemen are called to duty. These men work tirelessly long hours to ensure the power, that pro-vides modern day comforts and conveniences, doesn't go out. Gratitude for their service should not go unspoken.

To the linemen serving the City of Sikeston, we sincerely thank you!

SRC 2014

Dear SRC Members: The Sikeston Regional Chamber is in the process of producing the city map for 2014. This map covers Sikeston/Miner and the communities within a 10-mile radius. We will be printing 12,000 city maps which will be circulated over the duration of two years. This presents a great opportunity for local merchants to show newcomers, existing consumers, and tourists what their business has to offer. These maps are distributed at the Chamber office, area hotels, museums, libraries, and various area businesses. As we have discovered in recent years, current and future residents, tourists, and potential businesses have been very receptive of this resourceful map therefore, creating an increased demand.

We are excited about the new design concept for the 2014 maps; larger, glossy, in color, and a more user friendly format. The cost of the ads has increased due to these improvements and the 24 month campaign shelf life. Pricing of ad op-portunities vary based upon the size desired. Ad sizes and pricing are as listed below. If your business wishes to place an ad in the 2014 map, please contact the Chamber office.

Advertising Opportunities Small (2 ¼ in. x 1 ½ in.) $300 Medium (3 ¼ in. x 2in.) $600 Large- four available (3 ½ in. x 4in.) $900 Full Fold- three available (3 ½ in. x 9in.) $1,300
