Caring for the e environment has no religion or age barri-
ers; Both Arab and Jewish communities in Israel have par-
ticipated in clean-ups across the country in our March
Campaign, promoting a cleaner Israel environment .
Although the severity of public area’s cleanliness is worse
in Arab area’s, the trend for Green school accreditation is
growing strong in both communities equally, raising
awareness country wide.
Cleaning Up Israel’s Beaches Committed to Our Cause Dear Friends, It is my pleasure to send you an Annual Highlights Issue for the 2011-2012 year. This is a Bar Mitzva Year for Clean Up Israel. I feel, that together with the project—Israel too has matured a little with regards to caring for it’s environment… This year, more then 100,000 people committed to a Cleaner Israel in our campaigns throughout the year. however—the road is still long and we keep on going… We have recently launched a new web site , aimed at increasing public awareness and actions towards a Cleaner Israel. I invite you to visit our new web site and share it around as another step towards a Clean Up Israel. I also like to take this opportunity and thank everyone of you who cared, shared and helped our project and thank in advance for those who will. Yours Sincerely, Phillip Foxman.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR

Major Sponsors
The Last annual International Coastal Clean Up in Israel brought a record number of volunteers to Clean Up Israel’s coastline. Some 5,500 volunteers had participated in more than 50 individual clean-ups. The various activities included propaganda distribution to beach goers as well as edu-cational activities – all aimed at raising the awareness about the importance of caring for the cleanliness of our beaches. Ocean Conservancy who initiates the global campaign issues the annual "Trash Travels" report which is based on the cleaning oper-ations. This report is constructed from data col-lected at the clean ups and provides a roadmap for reducing marine debris, re-ducing the source, modifying the behaviour that leads to its formation and taking ac-tions and policies to better prevent it.
