Newsletter 9th March 2011 Welcome to this week’s newsletter. International Women’s Day We hope you all enjoyed the d ay and perhaps did something to celebrate. For all those who popped in t o LINC we h ope you enjoyed the sco nes and fresh c ream cakes. For those who didn’t make it then you’re a little bit sli mmer than we are. LINC Garden The garden has been cleared cleaned spruced up and is now getting ready for spring pla nting. This wouldn’t be possible without the help of LIZ our volunteer garde ner. Thank-you LIZ f or continuing to help us here in LINC it is much appreciated. Non Formal Guidance Information and application forms regarding the above course is available in LINC This is a great way for women over 21 to get back into education. The Diploma course is in association with the C entre f or Adult Educat ion in UCC. We h ave h ad great feedback about this course so for more details give us a call. Awareness Training This is now taking place on March 25th we have 2 places left so ifyou are interested then please contact the office asap.

Counselling Service ReminderJust a reminder to community members that the informationregarding FREE counselling through LINC is a confidential servicebetween the service user and the counselling service theycontact. LINC staff need not be notified if someone decides toavail of counselling. Information about how to contact a serviceis available in envelopes under the blue notice board in the frontreception. Please feel free to take the information when you arein LINC or alternatively any staff member can give details overthe phone. Service users are not identified to staff in LINC eitherat the time of contact or after sessions have taken place as
clients are identified by ID number not name.
