Top School Games
Date: - Sunday 3rd April Time: - 9.00 – 2.30pm
Venue: - Te Kowhai School
We have entered a Year 7 & 8 team.
Games Include: -
* Horizontal Bungy * Sands of Time
* Titanic * Four Legged Race
* Water Pole Balance * Board Walk
* Magic Carpet Ride * Bombs Away Chain Relay
This is a really fantastic event and a real honour for our students to participate in. We are always
thinking about ways of providing opportunities that are special for our Year 7 & 8’s and this is one
of them. If we have more than 10 students wanting to and able to go we will select our team by
rewarding those students who choose to live and learn by our “FISH” philosophy. If we don’t have
enough students in Year 7 & 8 we would like to open it up to some of our year 6 students. Year 6’s
please fill in this form if you are keen as well just in case
Please let us know if your child is keen and you are able to commit to this full Sunday.
I ______________________________________ (Name of Student) would love to participate in the
Top School’s Games.
I ______________________________________ (Name of Caregiver / Parent) can provide transport
and are able to support the team on the day.
On Friday two teams represented Te
Mata at the inter-school cricket
tournament at Raglan Area School. The
weather was so, so hot, but we kept
hydrated and retained our amazing Te
Mata attitudes! I was so proud of you
all. You all displayed outstanding
sportsmanship! Year 5 & 6 4th place.
Year 7 & 8 6th place. Congratulations
everyone!

Teacher Aide, Kimberley Snowden (Kimberley)
Hi I am Kimberley Snowden. I grew up in Raglan with 3 sisters, spending lots of time on the beach. I am a qualified Chef and have worked in many places in town for the past 10 years. I have been a Teacher Aide at Te Mata School for 3 terms and really enjoy it. This year I am planning on studying secondary teaching at Waikato University so I can combine my love of tech and food.
Teacher Aide, Nardia Phillips-Morgan (Nardia)
Kia Ora, my name is Nardia.
I get to hangout with Max in Room 3, alongside all of our class buddies. I love listening to music, reading books and writing poems. I love being outdoors whether it be in the moana or enjoying the finer side of nature like bush walks, sightseeing or simply admiring the beauty of nature itself. I am eager to see the improvements and achievements of our tamariki in and out of School, the feeling of being a witness of our children’s success is priceless. I am looking forward to building stronger relationships with my Kura Whaanau and I look forward to the year ahead. Nga Mihi Nardia

We would really appreciate any help processing these books. We cover seal all books as it extends their life
by 3 – 5 years. If you are interested in cover sealing please let me know… You are welcome to cover seal at
school or you are very welcome to take some home and cover seal them in the comfort of your own homes.
I would be happy to help cover seal some books. ____________________________ (Please write name)

The sooner the books are cover sealed the sooner our students will be reading them.
At our recent Board Meeting it was agreed that it was critical that…
Te Mata School is governed by Te Mata’s People, this includes our Raglan Families.
We would really like help to move this pile of mulch onto our gardens.
