Volunteer Readers
We always like to welcome volunteers into school to help with a
number of different activities. In order to help us continue with
the focus we already put on the importance of reading with an
adult, we would like to know if any parents or carers would be
interested in coming into school to listen to children read. If you
would be interested in volunteering please contact Mrs Earl in
school. Training can be given by one of our teachers should you
feel you need it.
School Milk
From Monday 2nd February children in KS2 on free school meals
will be having free school milk. If your child is not entitled to
free school meals but wishes to have milk then you will need to pay
and it will be 8 for this term (until 27th March).
After School Clubs
This is the updated after school club list. There are spaces on
most of the clubs if your child is interested in joining please
speak to Mrs Earl in the office.

Could I remind parents that children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6
should be wearing a light blue short sleeved shirt and a tie.
Parents in receipt of free school meals (not universal free
school meals) are also entitled to free uniform. For more
information please contact staff in the school office.
If your child wears a headscarf for school could you please make
sure this is navy blue, black or grey in colour and not
patterned.
Internet Safety
Last weeks headlines about murdered teenager Breck Bednar
highlighted the very real dangers children and teenagers face when
interacting with people on the internet. We are very aware that
some of our older children play online gaming and that some pupils
use social media sites. Internet and e-safety forms a large part of
our computing curriculum but we would like to give parents the
opportunity to gain advice from the professionals. If you would be
interested in an e-safety session for parents please email the
school office ([email protected]) and title your email
e-safety for parents. We will be more than happy to run a session
for you. Winter Weather & Contact Numbers
On Wednesday 21st January school closed at 1:15pm due to the
weather conditions. We had trouble contacting some parents as we
did not have up to date numbers on our text service. If you do
change your contact numbers please let school know as soon as
possible. If weather conditions are bad or become unsafe we do
sometimes have to take the decision to close school. These
decisions are not made lightly but are done so for the safety of
all our families and staff. If the decision is made to close then
we will inform you:
By sending out a text message
By announcing the closure on Bradford Schools Online which will
then be announced on Pulse Radio
School Photographer
We will be changing our school photographer this year to The
School Photography Company. They offer a good range of high quality
products at reasonable prices. As well as the standard pack they
offer an Eco pack for 10 which includes 1 large, 2 medium and 2
small photographs as well as 4 passport size photographs and a
bookmark. If you would like to view the Eco pack please call in at
the office and ask to see the sample. Each year 6 pupil will also
receive a free Leavers Book. Yours sincerely
