Bonus Pattern (Actually filling a little space.)
Easy Peasy:
1. Cut 2 squares of background fabric and 2
squares and a strip of fall fabric for the stem.
2. Appliqué the stem to one of the Background squares
3. Cut 2 squares of background fabric and 2 of fall
fabric 1/2” wider then the whole squares. Use to make 4
Half square triangles with fall fabric and background
fabric.
4. Sew together as shown.
Now you are asking what size. This 9 patch so use a size that can be divided by 3 such as 9. Each
block before adding the seam allowance would be 3”. (12 would be 4”.) Add ½ inch for the whole
block and 1 inch to the HSTs blocks. Be sure to square up the HSTs before assembling the block.
