The audience was entertained by poetry recitals and a range of informative and persuasive speeches. Congratulations to all participants and thanks to our judges for the evening, Mrs Edna Cogger and Mrs Patricia Sutherland. Special thanks to Sarah O’Neill for again, organising such a successful evening. OTAGO CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP
The Otago Cross Country was run on Friday 14th
September. East Taieri School had 27 children who
qualified for the various races. All children gave their
all during
the races
and should
be very
proud of
what they
have
achieved.
Tommy
Wilson
finished
second in
the Year 6 Boys race which is a fantastic achievement.
The results for the other children are not available at this
time. When we receive them we will put them in the
newsletter.
STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT
CHILDRENS’ MARATHON
On Sunday 9 September ten students from East Taieri competed in the inaugural ‘Children’s
Marathon’ at Logan Park. There were 582 students from Years 3-7 involved in the event.
