a well deserved break.
As part of Derwent’s fundraising in 2014, Dave Isaac has organised a number of fundraising BBQ’s at K & D Warehouse in Derwent Park. The first one was held on Saturday 12th April 2014 and raised over $300 (on a rainy day). A big thank you to the Isaac family, Jenny & Rory Middleton, Jo Traynor, Lesley McLaren and Nat Fahey for all

Senior subs for 2014 have been set. As you can see below some subs for teams have gone up whilst others have gone down. You ask why is that? Firstly subs are determined on the number of games a grade plays. Games be-tween grades can vary from 17 to 21 per grade. The second consideration is the number of players in a team. Again it can vary from 13 to 17. These two factors are the biggest reason for the variation in subs. It should be noted that in 2014 there was an increase in fees from Hockey Tasmania. So the subs for 2014 are as follows:
EARLY BIRD
$50 OFF if paid
by 31 May 2014
SUBS NOT PAID BY THE 30TH MAY 2014 WILL HAVE $50 ADDED TO THEIR ACCOUNT. Other considerations when determining subs include training times and administration costs. If any player/supporter or parent would like to see a break down of how the subs are determined, I welcome them to contact either myself or John Harris and we will provide the information to them. Continued onto page 5.

2ND GRADE 550 535 450 535
3RD GRADE 485 505 430 505
4TH GRADE 475 505 470 470

Other considerations when determining subs include training times and administration costs. If any player/supporter or parent would like to see a break down of how the subs are determined, I welcome them to contact either myself or John Harris and we will provide the information to them. In addition the following information is relevant to the subs: Any non-playing member of the Club, can become a financial member for $50. That payment entitles the
person to be a voting member of the Club (applications are contained on page 13-14). Goalies—Full subs unless current season receipt provided for gear purchased totalling at least $400. Subs
then to be reduce to $200 for seniors and $100 for juniors for that season only. Early Bird Payment—Seniors $50 . The figures above will have $50 added if not paid by the 30th May 2014.
E.g. A grade men subs are $690, if paid prior to 30 May this becomes $640 ($690 - $50 = $640). Subs are due by the 30th June 2014. Payment methods are outlined on the bottom of page 3 If subs are not paid by the finals, players will be ineligible. Two Grades—If a player plays in two grades, e.g. field/goalie or junior/senior then the higher subs are to be
raised and an additional fee of $100 added for the other grade played. Family discount—There is a discount of $10 per player if at least three players from the one family play in
the 2014 season provided that the junior players are financially dependent on the parent. Per game Fee A charge of $20 per game for seniors until half the rostered gamed have been played, then
full subs will be raised. If you have any questions about the above information please do not hesitate to contact either John Harris or my-self. Our details are on the last page—Jane Ansell, Club President

Whilst Derwent U12 boys beat Canterbury 15-1 at no stage did the score go past 7-1 on the score board. In 2014 it has been agreed that the scoreboard will not go past a 5 goal difference at any one time, for Under 12’s and Under 14’s to keep within the spirit of the game
