The day was entitled "Called To B e" and the aim was to look at who it is we are called to be in our schools and our parishes. The day consisted of three activities that helped us explore what it means to be young Catholics. We explored the youth work taking place in our parishes that encourages us to be confidently Catholic. Also what we would like to see happening in our parishes. Everyone who went to the day got a free ticket to Flame Congress which is being held in Wembley Arena on Saturday 24th March. This is going to be the biggest gathering of young Catholics across England since the Pope. Over 7,000 tickets are being sold. The day will have drama, music, speakers and Olympians present to talk about their experience of faith. E-SAFETY TIP
Filtering software is useful to protect your children on
the home pc but communication with your child is
equally as important since they could access the
internet from a friend’s house completely unfiltered.
BRAINTEASER
There are twelve socks in a drawer: six red socks and
six blue socks. The room is completely dark, you
cannot see.
Question : How many socks must you take from the
drawer before ABSOLUTELY having either a pair of red
socks or a pair of blue socks in hand?
WISE WORDS!
I am not going to limit myself just because people
won’t accept the fact that I can do something else.
Dolly Parton, Entertainer
LAST BRAINTEASER ANSWERStart the 7 and 11 minute hourglasses when the egg is
dropped into the boiling water. When the sand stops
running in the 7-glass turn it over. When the sand stops
in the 11 glass, turn the 7 glass again. When the sand
stops again in the 7 glass, 15 minutes will have elapsed.
