News Letter Volume No 5 Jain Farms contributes Rs.2 lakhs for Tirupathi Tirumala Devasthanam Plantation In continuation of our concern for environment we have contributed Rs.2 lakhs for the purpose of plantation at Tirupathi Tirumala Devasthanam - Forest Department, under Sri Venkateswara Vanabhivridhi Scheme, Tirupathi. And this amount has been utilized to raise a small plantation with 50 Nos. seedlings near “SILA THORANAM”. TTD has taken many social service initiatives in areas like education, medical treatment and rehabilitation of the physically challenged and economically backward. It also provides aid to authors and subsidized equipment to other temples. About School Uniforms Village Belethur has a Telugu medium Government school quite neglected with barely 35 students. The boys and girls coming to the school are from very poor families and cannot even afford decent clothes. So Jain Farms and Resorts has taken the responsibility to give these children uniforms so that at least to school they can come in decent cloths. In all 35 pairs of uniforms have been given to both Boys and girls and they will be given the next pair every 6 months so that they are presentable and can take pride in coming to school to learn (who knows future Dr Radha Krishna ,ex president or Lal Bahdur Sastri ,ex PM, can be one of these children) .

REVIEW OF SECURITY OF JAIN FARMS AND RESORTS, BAGALUR
In the light of deteriorating overall Crime and Security situation in the country, prudence
demanded that a long term review of the security requirements of the Jain Farm should be
undertaken. In view of this, services and expertise of Dr. S. Subramanian was requested by
Mr. Mangal Chand Jain.
To understand and accept the review and recommendations of Dr Subramanian, you must
first know the achievements and qualifications of this Doctor. He is an acclaimed authority
on Security, Vigilance and Human Rights and he is sought after as a Panelist by National
TV Channels and as Guest faculty in institutions of higher learning. He also provides
consultancy on selective basis on Vigilance and Security matters .He served with
distinction in the Indian Police Service (1958-1992) and held prestigious appointments of
Director General of Central Reserve Police Force and the National Security Guards. He was
founder Director of the elite Special Protection Group (PMs Security created by Mr. Rajiv
Gandhi) and was Director of the National Police Academy. He served in the diplomatic
service as the Minister in the Embassy of India, Germany (1986-89). He held senior
appointments in the Intelligence Bureau, Central Bureau of Investigation and Andhra
Pradesh Police. He has been decorated with Padmasri for his Distinguished Public Service
in 1986, and he is also the recipient of President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service
and Indian Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
Dr. Subramanian accepted the invitation of Mr. Jain, came all the way from Hyderabad,
stayed at the Jain farms and after studying the situation, existing security system and Mr.
Jains future plans for safety and security of all cottages and members staying in the
cottages, forwarded his expert opinion.
Dr. Subramanian’s advice for cottage owners.
a) Ensure proper fencing and building compound wall with glass pieces will be most
desirable.
b) Install two solar lights or CFI lights covering both front and back with facility to
on/off by security staff if the cottage is un occupied.
c) Install Burglar Alarm systems.
d) Acquire walkie talkies to reach or call security in emergencies.
e) Co-operate with Security at the gate that are checking your credentials because it is
for your safety. Similarly your staff/servants should be properly vetted.
f) As added precaution you may install CCTV cameras with 180 degree coverage.
This can be linked to security control room so that a watch can be mounted for
unwanted intruders.
g) Take good care of your weapons and never leave them in a locked premise.
