5. WORKSHOPS/ EVENTS ORGANISED BY FACULTY.

ERUDITE-2K15 A NATIONAL LEVEL TECHNICAL SYMPOSIUM

Erudite-2K15 is a National Level Technical Symposium organized by Department of

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING of PRAGATI ENGINEERING COLLEGE. It is organized as

a part of “STRIDES” was inaugurated on 11-02-2015.

Event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Vice President Sri M.SATISH, who

addressed the gathering on the occasion. He said that “STRIDES – ERUDITE 2K15” is an

opportunity and platform for the Engineering Students to explore and exhibit their technical and

creative skills National level”. The Chief Guest along with all the dignitaries on and off the dais,

student coordinators released the souvenir.

Principal Dr.S.Sambhu Prasad gave a warm welcome to the Chief guest, Participants,

and Students in the presence of the Chairman of the College, Dr. P.Krishna Rao, Vice Principal,

Directors, HOD’s and Students, extending his wishes for making the event a success.

His Excellency Dr. P. Krishna Rao, Chairman of the college said that “The College has

been taking all the necessary steps to mould the students as future industrialists, besides

imparting technical education” and he gave his valuable suggestions to the students.

Smt. Ch.VasanthaLakshmi, HOD, Mechanical Engineering said the main aim of this

symposium is to encourage the students to expertise in the field of mechanical engineering

technically and various topics towards the betterment of R&D and industrial needs. She said the


department conducted various workshops and industrial visits to the students to get the practical

knowledge too. She also said nearly 200 students from various colleges across the country are

participating in various events.

Dr. Kiran Kumar.K, Asst. Professor, NIT, Warangal and Mr. V.Jaya Prasad, JNTUK,

Kakinada are the judges for the final presentations.

The Prestigious & successful event ERUDITE 2K15 ended up with a valedictory function

to which Vice President of the Institution Sri M.Satish attended as Chief Guest. All the

dignitaries have been invited on the Dias along with the Chief Guest by the Student organizers.

On this Occasion student coordinator presented the overview of the event held and thanked

everyone for their support in making this event a grand success.

Chief Guest of the Occasion Sri M.Satish congratulated all the organizers for making the

event a grand success and pretended them to organize more successful events in the coming

future, and presented prizes for the winners in the presence of all the faculty of the department

and congratulated them.
