IRS Announces 2018 Mileage Rates The Internal Revenue Service has announced the new standard mileage rates for 2018. Starting on January 1, 2018, the standard mileage rates for the use of a car, van, pickup, or panel truck will be: 54.5 cents for every mile of business travel
driven, up 1 cent from the 2017 rate 18 cents per mile driven for medical or mov-
ing purposes, up 1 cent from the 2017 rate 14 cents per mile driven in service of
charitable organizations Pastors and church staff members who drive their personal vehicles for church-related business (visitations, special events, etc.) can be reim-bursed if they properly track their miles— or they may be able to calculate a deduction for their annual tax returns.

We need your help.
Twice a year, a er our literature collec on, we need help transpor ng the collected materials
to Edwin Hodges Ministries in Decatur, AL (a 2 hour drive). If several churches would
commit to take turns, each one would only have to do it every few years. We just need one person
and truck, trailer, or van. To volunteer or for more informa on, call us at 455-5072.
We need churches and individuals to lead campground ministry at Tims Ford and Fairview/
Devil’s Step this summer from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend. Several churches rotate so that each church only has the responsibility
approximately once a month. This involves a brief and simple worship service on each campground early on Sunday morning. For more informa on,
