PTO Newsletter October 2013 News from around Clinton Park: Letter from the Administrators The school year is off to a great start. We have enjoyed every minute of getting to know you and your precious little one. Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped to make Clinton Park's Grandparents' Day one of the best ever. It definitely could not of happened without you. We are so excited about the upcoming Family Read Night. We hope that you will join us for the fun family event. Again, we are so appreciative of all of the parents and students that make Clin- ton Park an awesome place to be! Thank you, Suzanne Hollingshead Amanda Tullos Spirit night winners for the month of September are: Chick-Fil-A Spirit Night– Ms. Rayburn’s class won an ice cream party! Domino’s Spirit Night– Ms. Smith’s class won a pizza party! Mystery Friday Clinton Park PTO members will be coming around to each class on Mystery Friday and counting how many students in the class have on a Clinton Park T-shirt! Make sure your child wears their shirt every Friday to show school spirit and help their class win! Also, the PTO has a few extra shirts if you have not yet purchased one. Send $10 (youth sizes) with your child in an envelope marked PTO T-shirt, and the shirt will be sent home with your child. Sizes are on a first come first served basis. PTO President’s Notes Many thanks to all parents and PTO members who helped make the activities during the month of September a success! The PTO hosted Grand- parent’s days September 4-6. Fundraising committee sold cups, tattoos, decals and spirit shirts at the high school home football game September 6. We still have a limited supply left of fundraising items (if interested please email [email protected]). We kicked off our fall fund- raiser, Yankee Candles. We will announce the winners of the Yankee candle contest in our November newsletter. I am excited to announce that overall sales met and ex- ceeded our expectations! Thank you for your participa- tion! Accelerated Reader Committee began prize patrol September 5 and will continue each Thursday. Our home- room parent coordinators hosted a room parent tea Sep- tember 9. Hospitality treated the teachers to a snack lunch September 19. The Arrow Bucks store had to be relocated but is stocked and functioning well. Beautifica- tion Committee put pine straw down in our beautiful but- terfly garden. Yearbooks cost $25 each, and personalized yearbooks are $30.
