What is a News Capsule?The News Capsule is a digital engagement platform that houses various content

types in an interactive and sharable unit. Content can include videos, photos, images,

press releases, presentations, documents, and links. The News Capsule is distributed

with your Business Wire press release, allowing any journalist or publishing site the

ability to embed your News Capsule within their online articles.

The Image to the left is an example of a News Capsule Home page.

Each standard News Capsule comes with:• Option to select 1 of 4 home page layouts

• 5 additional content pages - Images, Videos, Related Links, News Media

and Press Release

• Up to 4 videos*

• Up to 4 images*

• Up to 6 links/downloads or documents*

• Real-time reporting dashboard

• Social Sharing tools - Embed, Email, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+

• Every News Capsule comes with a mobile-optimized view and a full-page expanded view.

Embed Your News CapsuleA News Capsule can be embedded into any website with a simple copy and paste of an embed code. A News Capsule allows a complete content

experience to be distributed across unlimited paid, earned, shared and owned digital locations.

News Capsule PagesAlong with a home page, the below 3 pages can be included with every News Capsule. They are accessible via the top tabs.

Images PageContains all images submitted. A standard News Capsule comes with up to 4 images. Minimum file size is 400 x 300 pixels at 72dpi. *

Videos PageContains all videos submitted. A standard News Capsule comes with up to 4 videos. Preferred format for video is a MP4 or MOV file. *

Related Links PageContains all links submitted. A standard News Capsule comes with up to 6 links/downloads or documents. *

* Additional assets can be added for an additional fee.

Email

E-mail Share includes 2 sets of text:

a Subject Line.

b Body Copy. This is followed by

a short link to the live capsule.

Social Share

Social Share messaging requires one

block of text (<100 characters) for

Twitter and a Title (<60 characters)

and Description (<160 characters) for

the other social platforms.

Sharing Your News CapsuleSharing your News Capsule is a feature available across

different platforms: Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+,

Pinterest and/or E-mail.

What is Needed to Launch a News Capsule?

To make a News Capsule you will need to complete the following:

Template Selection Choose 1 of the 4 home page templates, described on the following pages

Content Uploaded to BW Connect Up to 4 Videos, Up to 4 images, Up to 6 links or downloads with titles and descriptions

In the brief you’ll receive, note which content should go on the home page, based on the template you select

Provide text for headline (<60 characters), body copy (<160 characters),

and main call-to-action (<25 characters) for the home page

Text to include for social sharing buttons, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Email

Branding Elements Uploaded Brand/company logo (EPS file) and brand colors

Branding image based on the template selected (minimum file size of 800 x 800 at 72dpi)

Once you order a News Capsule via Business Wire Connect, NextWorks is alerted to your order and will send an email to set up a kick-off call to begin the project.

Changes &Additional FeesThe hours of operation for capsule

production are from change to 9:00AM

- 7:00PM ET each business day. Any

capsule work requested after hours will

be handled the next business day. You will

be provided two rounds of edits/changes

to the mock-up. All changes made after

distribution or after the second round

of edits in the development process are

subject to our standard editing rate of

$200 per hour. If changes are required

after-hours (after 7pm EST), they will need

to be known at least one business day in

advance and will be done at an overtime

rate of $350/hour. Any changes required

on weekends/holidays will be done at an

overtime rate of $1,500/day. Changes may

take up to 8 hours to complete and QA.

main video, as well as a brand logo at the bottom.

when embedded in most modern publishing sites. It

features branding at the top, a main video, a headline,

and body copy. Template 4 also features visual call-outs
