Maths Quiz, Paper presentation, Math Rangoli and connexion events were conducted. 110 students from 16 Colleges in Trichirappalli district participated in the events. Seethalakshmi Ramaswamy College (SRC) team was the overall Champions. Jamal Mohammed College (JMC) team was the Runners. Smt.Padma Ramakrishnan, President of the College council distributed the prizes. Dr.D.Christy Selvarani, Principal(i/c) congratulated the winners. Dr.R.Krishnakumar, HOD welcomed the gathering. Illume 2018, an intra- departmental literary cultural events was organized by the Department of English on 16.03.2018. Prof. S. Kandasamy, Head, Department of English, gave the welcome address. Dr.Christy Selvarani, Principal i/c delievered the inaugural address. She stated that reading English novels and plays would develop the language ability. Students exhibited their talents in all the events and their participation in events were highly commendable. Prof.Haribabu, Former head, Department of English, Urumu Dhanalakshmi College and Dr.S.lakshmi, Former Head, Department of English, Srimad Andavan College, were the chief guest for valedictory function. Prof Haribabu stressed that the continuous usage of language would develop the spoken ability of a person on stage. Dr.lakshmi gave an insight on how these kind of activities would help the students to have an holistic development as human. Thiru.Kalki Ramakrishnan, Secretary, UD College Council pointed out the cultural competitions would develop the confidence leadership quality, teamwork, responsibility creativity as well as improved their speaking ability He distributed prized to the winners..
