St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church
Metropolis Priest: Reverend Father Nicholas Spirakis
Today, Sunday, April 22, 2012 Following Divine Liturgy
Our annual Greek Festival is less than a month away.
Our festival is a very important event for our parish. Please don't see it simply as another fundraiser, but as a part of your stewardship. We are all asked to give of our time, talents, and treasure to our parish. Please come to the Festival Kickoff Coffee Hour after Divine Liturgy on Sunday, April 22, to learn how you can participate.
For those of you who are new to St. Barbara you will find when you work at our festival you will have an opportunity to meet and get to know your fellow parishioners better, and this enhances and strength-ens the bonds we have with each other and our parish family.

Dear Alec,
On behalf of the Triangle Orthodox Chorale, I wish to commend you and the entire community of St. Barbara for your excellent planning and preparations in hosting our chorale Concert of Holy Paschal Music.
Our choristers worked very hard over the past several weeks in rehears-ing the program that so many enjoyed last Friday evening. It was a pleasure to especially see many non-Orthodox congregants in attendance. As you may know, the mission of our chorale is to minister to not only our own Orthodox faithful, but also to non-Orthodox, in teaching everyone more about the special music that enhances worship in our Holy Church.
Total monies raised from our concert to St. Barbara were $1620.
We wish to thank the entire community of St. Barbara for their support of the music ministry of our church.
Kali Anastasi,
Elia Nicholas Director, Triangle Orthodox Chorale
AHEPA NEWS
All AHEPA members and friends are cordially invited to at-tend a general meeting, scheduled for Tuesday May 1, at St.
Barbara's fellowship hall. We will start gathering about 6:30 pm, enjoy fellowship and refreshments, and slide into our meeting at 7:00 pm. An agenda will be forwarded in due course, but for now please save the date - Tuesday May 1, and plan to attend - so we can select our delegates to the District and National Conventions, and go over a variety of news, including the long-awaited purchase of the defibrillator.
