Sadiq Khan defended immigration as a “force for good” today
as the fierce EU referendum battle entered its final stretch.
Does Sadiq Khan have trouble understanding even simplethings or is he deliberately pretending not to understandQuote "The Mayor conceded there were “legitimate”concerns over the impact of migration but said the Brexitcamp had failed to explain how they would reduce it.".Well they have explained it. First we leave the EU so weno longer have an open border. Second we will have anAustralian style points system. If he cannot understandthat then in my view he has problem
I like Sadiq Khans style and the way he dealt withbumptious Boris, who was using scare tactics, and thenblaming Sadiq for doing the same thing. Boris hasemerged from this BBC event as a bit of a clown, andmaybe the leadership of the Conservative Party, is nowover for him?
You must have been watching a different debate.BREXCIT won that debate hands down
PROJECT FEAR has been giving several daily doses offrightening doom scenarios for the last few weeks thatscares the general public - Psychologists say Instillingfear breeds hatred. It has been tantamount to incitinghatred!
Britain is an island nation. Our territory is defined by ourcoastline. Unlike mainland Europe where either theexisting overall population can easily be redistributed orthousands of outsiders can be disbursed across a muchlarger area, Britain is already overcrowded and unable toaccept more people simply because we do not have theroom to accommodate them. Nobody is suggesting that workers from other countrieswho have been offered work that British workers do notwish to undertake, work that generates income tax, paysNI contributions and is sufficient NOT to require incomesupport, will no longer be permitted to come. But, we must call a halt to uncontrolled immigrationotherwise we will be submerged - drowned in a sea offoreign folk, many of whom are unskilled, unable and(sometimes) unwilling to speak our language, unable and(sometimes) unwilling to understand or accept ourcustoms, heritage or values and who by their very beinghere are placing extraordinary strains on our economyand public services. It must stop but while (as Mr Farage has pointed out) thefirst two words on the cover of the passport we are forcedto accept in place of our own British passport are"European Union", there is nothing we can do to stop ourcountry being overrun and taken over by others holdingsimilar European Union passports. The only solution is to LEAVE the EU and take backcontrol of our nation.
This referendum will be the ONLY time in the history ofthis country that true democracy will be at work . Oneperson . One vote . Make it count
No one is saying there cannot be immigration . Just that itneeds to be controlled . How can any system , society ,organisation run itself if they have no idea how manypeople to plan for.
There is NOTHING good to be said of unrestrainedmigration. It is a destroyer of culture.
BBC debate now has a distinctively biased audiencecheering loudly anything that the Remain trio say...mostare watching the football so it won't affect much.
And his what his 'boss' Labour Leader Jermy Corbynthinks of the EU: (From Huffington Post):
1. Corbyn voted against membership in 1975, votedagainst the Maastricht Treaty in 1993, and voted againstthe Lisbon Treaty in 2009. He has opposed the EU at everyopportunity.2. “The EuropeanCentral Bank will undermine any socialobjective that any Labour Government inthe UnitedKingdom — or any other Government — would wish tocarry out.” JeremyCorbyn, Hansard3. “What powers do wehave to do anything about thefraud in EU institutions? Much of that moneyseems tofind its way into the hands of the Mafia or into grandiose, unwantedand often badly-built construction projects thatare of no use to anybody.”Jeremy Corbyn, Hansard4. “The Treaty onEuropean Union takes away fromnational Parliaments the power to set economicpolicyand hands it over to an unelected set of bankers” Jeremy
Corbyn, Hansard5. “There is a realrisk that Greece leaves both theeurozone and the EU. Its future would beuncertain, but atleast it could be its own ... There is no future forausurious Europe that turns its smaller nations intocolonies of debt peonage.”Jeremy Corbyn, Huffington Post6. “If the EU becomesa totally brutal organisation thattreats every one of its member states in theway that thepeople of Greece have been treated at the moment, thenI think itwill lose a lot of support from a lot of people.”Jeremy Corbyn, LBC, 2015, quoted in the Telegraph7. Public oppositionto the EU’s TTIP treaty is “a cri decoeur for democracy and for the right ofpeople to elect aGovernment who can decide what goes on in theircountry.”Jeremy Corbyn, Hansard8. On the secrecy ofthe EU’s TTIP negotiations: “Is itbecause there are ante-rooms on either sideof theAtlantic stuffed full of highly effective corporate lobbyistsdoingtheir best to develop their own interests?” JeremyCorbyn, Hansard9. Morocco’soccupation of the Western Sahara “involvesthe gross abuse of human rights andtheft of naturalresources - and the EU is directly responsible.” JeremyCorbynon his blog, recently deleted (archive stillavailable).
I asked some Remain campaigners 2 simpleQuestion'stoday. (1) "Please tell me WHERE all theimmigrants are going to live, let alone ourselves " ?. and(2) How are ordinary working natural UK born citizensgoing to afford a house or rent with demand FARoutstripping supply ?. They could not answer. THAT iswhy we must VoteLeave to force down prices & queue's.
if he wants to be surrounded by MORE immigrants, heshould go & live in one of the many Muslim countries,
that strangely seem to take in zero immigrants (with theexception of Jordan.)
VOTE LEAVE AND KICK ALL THE UNDESIRABLES OUTINCLUDING CAMERON AND HIS RICH FRIENDS.
Why is he so passionate about immigration? Does hehave a load of family and friends waiting for the result?
Every British Prime Minister has lied over the EU andImmigration. You can simply never ever trust the Labour party onimmigration. They just don't care about it.Ignore Sadiq and VOTE LEAVE.You will never get another chance.
You can't be such an advocate of immigration simplybecause you happen to be an immigrant yourself. Anyintake must depend on the situation prevailing at thetime. You are unlikely to welcome it with such fervour,willy-nilly, if you know it's going to put you back, howeverlong you've been here yourself. Immigration on such ascale is not without political, social and culturalconsequences. One suspects that people like Sadiq Khanhave an ulterior motive, if these consequences seeminsignificant to them.
Maybe all the ' immigration controllers' could tell usexactly how many immigrants they think we need everyyear. Considering 180,000 came from outside Europe lastyear just to fill essential roles, how many more do theythink we'll need to do non-essential roles that businessescan't find British labour to fill?
Even I can tell you that we'll need none to do "non-essential roles", "non-essential" is the key to thatpart.
Then why are British employers finding it sodifficult to fill these roles even now andeven if they're offering substantially aboveminimum wage?
I don't know I thought unemploymentwas at it's lowest in 8 years, doesn'tseem people are struggling to fillthese roles. As for what they are offering, howwould you have any idea what thesejobs are offering? And why wouldanyone pay "substantially aboveminimum wage" for "non-essential"staff? You're off in your own little worldagain.
Well, I listen (that's a good thing todo Spongey) to businessmen who arequestioned. Here's 2 examples foryou. A farmer paying ten pounds anhour (substantially above minimum)to workers harvesting his crops - hecan't get British to do the jobs. Aplumber paying current skilled-labour rates can't find Britishtradesmen willing to do the jobs. Best to listen rather than make upyour own conclusions.
You couldn't make that up. Or couldyou.......A whole 2 examples? That's agood reason to stay!"harvesting" When did that becomewell paid full time work? Never, £10an hour for 2 months isn't going tosee you through a year is it. It's called"seasonal work" look it up no onewants it when times are hard, whenpeople are struggling they need fulltime work.
As for the plumber, having had toleave a trade myself, and seencountless others go with me. I cantell you that's nonsense. "currentskilled-labour rates" are not aboveminimum wage let alone living way, when you factor in the costs andcompetition, why do you think noones doing it? Remember if it's notgas, you just spend a week at the
right "college" and you're a plumber.Contract work, working one week, trying to find work the next. Timesare simply to hard to cover yourself.Ever tried to get a mortgage withouta salary? Need to have a deposittwice as big and be earning fourtimes as much as the equivalentperson on a salary. It is just pure denial to the facts, lookat how many of our skilled workershave left trades or left London, simply because they could notsurvive.
“we need to manage immigration. We’ve got to make sureit’s not a free-for-all,” Well we can't do that in the EU can we! The mans just awalking contradiction. Vote Leave.
NOW you understand people's concerns over immigrationAFTER 13 years in government allowing several million in.That's really useful. Helped to get you elected though, soall good.
